The Hatch

When Danielle warned the survivors that the Others were coming for them, the only solution they could think of was to try and open the subterranean hatch that John Locke found. For this particular task, they needed dynamite and so this expedition was sent to acquire some from the Black Rock.

The Raft

Sick and tired of raising his son on a tropical island, Michael decided to build a raft to get everyone rescued. He selected a team and set sail. Before making it into open water, they were ambushed by the Others who kidnapped Walt, shot Sawyer and blew up the raft.

The Rescue

After Danielle's warning, Sayid was left to marshal the remaining survivors to be ready to be moved to safety. However, Danielle's warning was a ruse so she could take Aaron to trade him for her own lost daughter. Sayid and Charlie set out to rescue Aaron.

The Tailies

When 815 broke up in mid-air, the tail section landed in the sea at the other side of the Island. The members were gradually whittled down by constant attacks by the Others. The Tailies story isn't picked up until Season 2.

A note from me.
One of my favourite things about Lost were the various missions and divisions that took place throughout the series. There were times when all the main characters would be divided into certain groups (by choice or not) with a particular goal that they had to achieve. The larger missions would usually take place in the season finale for the first 3 seasons, whereas the last 3 seasons were more about the divisions that split the survivors apart.

I created these lists to monitor the everchanging group dynamics and the loyalties that evolved over the 6 seasons of the show.
