elijah has been the actor that macauley culkin failed to become. they both were in 'the good son--' you can guess who wasn't. elijah became mr. frodo--the ringbearer in 3 lord of the rings films. he had already appeared in 18 listed movies--before 'rings' ---since those he was in ''everything is illuminated'' and 11 more movies.elijah is 29 this year. that is more than one movie for every year of his life.

hugo was one of the elves-----------==in lord of the rings. he played the masked character in v for vendetta---he played a man with a drug habit in 'little fish' . he has been in many movies i have yet to see. he is one of 'the aussies'' he is always in good company.

i think miranda otto is special. her father barry otto is also an actor. miranda played in lord of the rings as--------------------. she played a meter maid in the town rhys ifans descends to in 'danny deckchair'. she rescues him from a treetop and then prevents the townspeople from knowing that he is the man all of australia is looking for. they have a pleasant few days getting to know each other before he is found out.

rhys ifans is memorable, once you know him- he played hugh grant's strange roommate in 'notting hill'- he had wonderful lead roles in 'danny deckchair', about a man who floats across oz in a deck chair with many helium balloons tied above it. miranda otto co-starred in that. 'human nature' has tim robbins trying to tame him into a 'normal' man when he is found living like tarzan w/ the apes. 'once upon a time in the midlands' has him playing 'dec' who is about to marry shirley henderson when the ex--robert carlisle shows up and creates havoc.

renee is tops--she was so good in ''cold mountain''--she absolutely made ''bridget jones'' breathe.-- an overlooked movie of hers,' miss potter' was sweet. --she was the author of all the little peter rabbit and friend storybooks.-- ewan macgregor played her manager and love interest--''the whole wide world'' had renee playing a school teacher who gets to know the man who wrote the 'conan' stories-- he was so devoted to his mother that he offed himself because of her.-- novalyne price wrote the book about their 'non' love affair.

colin firth was in both bridget jones movies, a newer movie called ''easy virtue'' and he was nearly royalty in ''what a girl wants'' i find his humor droll- as most english men are but the sexiness oozes out too. he also was one of amanda seyfried's possible 'dads' in ''mamma mia'' which i adore. his newest film ''a single man'' gives him a role as a college professor who plans to take his own life because of the recent loss of his male spouse of 16 years in a car crash. in that earlier time--'50s--his lover's family excluded him from the funeral.

the dvd movie with joseph fiennes,that i will keep is ''shakespeare in love''--with gwyneth paltrow. joseph and gwneth play romeo and juliet in real life as he directs the play originally titled--romeo and ethel-the pirate's daughter--

matthew macfadyen played in ''incendiary''-- his role was an officer specializing in preventing terrorist attacks.-- in this movie he pretty much dropped the ball and michelle williams' character loses her husband and son at a soccer match in england, along with a thousand others.--- matthew was also in ''death at a funeral'' which i also own and find amusing.

i think alan was extremely cute and funny in ''a knight's tale''

paul bettany is memorable for first appearing 'unclothed' on the road as geoffrey chaucer in ''a knight's tale'' his role allowed him a great comic turn as the now-famous author of 'the canterbury tales' . i also saw him in ''the reckoning''. he also played an unusual character in the recent-- ''inkheart''. ----his newest film-- ''creation'' has him playing charles darwin in the time frame when he wrote--the origin of the species.

jennifer has been an actress since 1984. i loved ''seven minutes in heaven''-then ''labyrinth'' made me her lifetime fan. i loved ''career opportunities''. it was filmed in a Target store. i will be watching ''creation'' where she plays darwin's wife- opposite her real life spouse-paul bettany. mrs. darwin was an extremely religious woman which put her at odds with her husband's theory of evolution. later note--'creation' is excellent and recommended.

reese's best movie, in my opinion was ''sweet home alabama''. i love her in ''legally blond''--both of them--she is beautiful and talented--

toby maguire caught my eye in ''the cider house rules'' and then held my attention in ''seabiscuit''.

jeff daniels played the lead's husband in' terms of endearment 'and many other outstanding roles. '' fly away home '' and ''because of winn dixie'', both of which had him playing a single dad-- were memorable

terms of endearment was shirley maclaine's most memorable movie. she played a supporting role, but she stole the show.

I thought debra was at her finest many years ago in ''cannery row'' w/nick nolte.

i just saw richard, in a heart rending movie'' HACHI, A DOG'S TALE'' I highly recommend it-- i included richard in a 5 degrees of separation thread on a forum topic--he took heath ledger's 'I'll be there' to sommersby's jodie foster.

julia is great! mystic pizza, pretty woman, runaway bride, notting hill--i love all the comedy/ romances. dramas-not so much--so it is with life. i always prefer when life is comedy--

jasen was in ''the witches'' with angelica huston as the head witch who planned on turning humans all into mice. jasen's character spent several hours as a mouse himself.

albert finney was in ''scrooge'' many years ago--there have been good actors playing the role, but albert was memorable.

i like freddie highmore in every film he has appeared in. i just bought ''finding neverland'' and i think i might choose it as my fave that freddie was in. kate winslet and johnny depp were fine in it too.

kate winslet was, of course, wonderful in 'titanic' ,but most recently , she was outstanding in ''the reader''

David kross played the young man kate winslet engages to be ''the reader''

WHEN YOU WATCH ''ROAR'' LOOK FOR KERI IN THE FIRST EPISODE. i always loved keri when she was FELICITY---I also thought her excellent in ''waitress''--- the pies in this movie were mouth watering---

clueless is without a doubt the movie that springs to mind first when i think of alicia. also from clueless- i noticed paul rudd and brittany murphy. alicia was in a british film about a rock group hiding out in a mansion--ROCK MY WORLD--available as- instant- streamed from NETFLIX. it also has peter o'toole, and joan plowright as the hilarious elderly couple who rent them the mansion and then teach the band a thing or two while pretending to be the butler and housekeeper/cook--

i love brendan fraser in many of his movies, but i believe i like his character in ''blast from the past'' best of all.

the bridge to terebithia was an excellent film appearance for anna. she also stands out in ''the reaping''

i really enjoyed zooey in the ''500 days of summer'' i have seen her in several films, but none better than this one.
