She was Elton's protégée, signed to his record company in the 70s, and they had 2 big hits together: Don't Go Breaking my Heart (not one of my own faves!), True Love. She seems nice. And my little Yorkshire terrier is called Kiki, also after a Japanese animation character

There may not be many Elton fans here- these days he's probably better known for some of his weaker music, celebrity spats, big spending, outspoken opinions and being gay, more than for his better music (so many hidden treasures!), generosity, philanthropy and qualities, but anyway...
He fell out with one-time friends Cher, Billy Joel and George Michael (later patched up). Morrissey slagged Elton off, wanted his head on a platter, but (having met him) now thinks he's lovely!
