Favorite Dreamworks Characters

Sort by: Showing 45 items
Rating: List Type:
Average listal rating (68 ratings) 6.4 IMDB Rating 0
Mr Peabody (Mr Peabody And Sherman): He is one extremely intelligent canine, he is also very witty.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (643 ratings) 6.7 IMDB Rating 0
B.O.B (Monsters VS Aliens): Bob may be brainless but he makes up for it with his indestructibility and his ability to turn into any shape. Plus he really cracks me up with his hilarious lines.
Monstermaster's rating:
Humpty Dumpty (Puss In Boots): Never have I felt so sorry for a character like him before. But Humpty is so complex that it is just so fascinating to learn about his backstory and how he became who he is today.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (41 ratings) 4.9 IMDB Rating 0
The Magic Mirror (Shrek series): I swear the scene with him and Lord Farquaad cracks me up, plus I love the dating game parody.

Kowalski (Madagascar series, movies only): See my reason for liking him with the Christopher Knights entry.
Monstermaster's rating:
President Hathaway (Monsters VS Aliens): Speaking of the voice cast of Monsters VS Aliens, how about President Hathaway and the perfect casting of Stephen Colbert to voice him? He cracked me up so much.
Monstermaster's rating:
Miguel (Road To El Dorado): Miguel is truly an amazing character and how he and Tulio play off eachother is just hilarious and timeless.
Monstermaster's rating:
Ozzy (Over The Hedge): Ozzy the possum had me laughing all through-out the movie, he was such a ham.
Monstermaster's rating:
King Julian (Madagascar series): King Julian truly is the King of party animals, he is wacky and absolutely hilarious - with a care-free nature to boot.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (1374 ratings) 6.6 IMDB Rating 0
Donkey (Shrek series): What can you say about Donkey? He is hilarious and the best friend one can ever ask for. He may have a habit of talking too much but that's why he is so funny, because he always has something funny to say.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (655 ratings) 7.7 IMDB Rating 0
Whitey (Flushed Away): This rat is a real softie despite the fact he works for a villain, in fact it makes you wish he was real so you could hug him.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (439 ratings) 7.2 IMDB Rating 0
Spike (Flushed Away): If Nick and Fletcher are the rodent version of Abott and Costello, then Spike is the rat version of Dick Dastardly. He cracks me up in every way, the way he keeps getting hurt in comical fashions and each time he fails is pure comedy gold.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (1371 ratings) 8.1 IMDB Rating 0
The Toad (Flushed Away): This amphibian is very melodramatic but in a funny way, he's pretty fun to watch too - especially in the scenes involving him and his cousin Le Frog.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (2489 ratings) 8.1 IMDB Rating 0
Rita Malone (Flushed Away): This is one badass rat-chick, she's like Lara Croft if she was an anthropomorphic rat.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (9 ratings) 6.6 IMDB Rating 0
Sid (Flushed Away): He may be a gross slob but he is simply hilarious, also he's not as dumb as he looks.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (388 ratings) 6.1 IMDB Rating 0
Lou (Over The Hedge): All of the animals in Over The Hedge were adorable, but I love the hedgehog/porcupine family because they remind me of the title character from the Jim Henson's The Storyteller episode Hans My Hedgehog.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (1960 ratings) 8.3 IMDB Rating 0
Lord Shen (Kung Fu Panda 2): Ultimately it was hard choosing between him and Tai Lung but I definitely think Shen wins hands down because of Oldman's performance and the design. I love his outfit and I also love his style of combat.
Monstermaster's rating:
Private (Madagascar series): Aaaaaaaw! He's so adorable. Private the penguin is just irresistibly cute.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (294 ratings) 7.5 IMDB Rating 0
Tulio (Road To El Dorado): I swear the way he and Miguel play-off eachother is comedy gold. It's hard to pick between him and Miguel as they're both quite enjoyable characters, but I tend to identify with Tulio more because he's just full of wise-cracks and also the more sensible one of the two.
Monstermaster's rating:
Kowalski (Madagascar series): Kowalski is a genius. And my favorite of the penguins.
Monstermaster's rating:
Rico (Madagascar series): This penguin is a one bird arsenal. Any weapon or item you can think of, he's able to spit it up. How he's able to do such things? No one knows.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (297 ratings) 6.3 IMDB Rating 0
Minion (Megamind): With a character like Megamind, you would need a pretty awesome sidekick to support him. And luckily, we have Minion. Minion is amazing, he's funny, charming and extremely adorable.
Monstermaster's rating:
Colonel Cutter (Antz): I had to include this character because he's also one of the reasons why I liked Antz. He may work for the bad-guy but he gets a heel face turn near the end.
Monstermaster's rating:
Rocky (Chicken Run): Rocky the Rooster is an amazing character, he is a showman through and through but there are moments in which we get to know what he is really like.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (8 ratings) 6.3 IMDB Rating 0
Fletcher (Chicken Run): As I said, I love both the rats in Chicken Run as they are both awesome. The way they play off each-other is pure comedy gold.
Monstermaster's rating:
Nick (Chicken Run): There are quite a lot of enjoyable characters in Chicken Run, my personal favorites being Rocky the American Rooster, Babs, Fowler, and even Mr Tweedy and the dogs. But my personal favorites are these two guys Nick and Fletcher, they're like a classic comedy duo ala Abbot and Costello and they remind me a bit of Statler and Waldorf.

Rats are my favorite animals, and I like how Nick and Fletcher play-off each-other.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (1737 ratings) 6.6 IMDB Rating 0
Alex (Madagascar series): What a truly magnificent lion. He's a showman much like Rocky from Chicken Run but deep down he really does care for his friends.

Bernard (Megamind): Bernard just cracks me up, I love how snarky he is.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (550 ratings) 6.5 IMDB Rating 0
Marty (Madagascar series): Marty just cracks me up, he's like Donkey only in zebra form and it shows.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (2208 ratings) 7.5 IMDB Rating 0
Spirit (Spirit: Stallion Of The Cimarron): I love horses and Spirit is a very magnificent equine indeed, he is beautiful and I love his design.
Monstermaster's rating:
Weaver (Antz.): Speaking of bugs, it's about time that this guy gets a mention. And who is he you ask? Why none other than Weaver from the underrated classic Antz, this buff soldier ant is the coolest best friend anyone could ask for. Plus as a bonus he's voiced by Sly Stallone (even looks like his voice actor too, right down to the muscular build) and he's definitely the kind of guy you would want to hang out with or have protecting you from enemies (hey..no one messes with Sylvester Stallone, no matter what form he's in).
Monstermaster's rating:
Puss In Boots (Puss In Boots): Everyone seems to love this swash-buckling feline, and I for one am one of those people, I love his personality and the way he does that innocent kitty look with the big eyes, he's also a pretty awesome swordsman.
Monstermaster's rating:
Mrs Tweedy (Chicken Run): This woman is scary and cold as ice, in fact the chicken pie scenes in Chicken Run just plain creeped me out when I first saw them.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (1071 ratings) 8.2 IMDB Rating 0
Doctor Cockroach (Monsters VS Aliens): Monsters VS Aliens has some really fun and brilliant characters, including the president (voiced by the bastian of truthiness Mr Stephen Colbert) and of course the ragtag group of monsters. B.O.B is my second favorite character but my number 1 favorite is this guy Dr Cockroach P.H.D who is voiced by Hugh Laurie (House to you Americans out there and Prince George from Blackadder The Third to those who hail from England), I just adore this guy, he's funny, over-the-top and a very clever take-on The Fly (both the original 1958 version and the 1986 remake with Jeff Goldblum). Plus you gotta love a character who's part bug.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (311 ratings) 7.1 IMDB Rating 0
Farquaad (Shrek series): Now most people would say that Donkey would be one of the best characters in the Shrek series, in my opinion it's Puss, but the best villain in the Shrek series would have to be Lord Farquaad. I love this guy, said to have been based on Michael Eisner (owner of Disney and Jeffrey Katsenberg's former boss), this little monarch is very enjoyable to watch and very much like Vizzini from the Princess Bride. Plus the torture scene with the gingerbread man is my absolute favorite scene in the first movie, the talking beanie plush doll of him from McFarlane toys is extremely cute.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (2953 ratings) 6.7 IMDB Rating 0
Princess Fiona (Shrek series): Can I say just how much of a bad-ass this chick is? She's an absolute badass, plus she's a fellow ogre like Shrek himself. His perfect match.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (17 ratings) 6.6 IMDB Rating 0
Wallace/Wererabbit (Wallace and Gromit Curse Of The Wererabbit): Gromit and the Wererabbit from Curse Of The Wererabbit are both very adorable and funny to watch, and Wallace in his wererabbit form is just so big and cuddly it's hard not to love him. He's just a very big, lovable wererabbit and if he was real i'd definitely want to hug him. Wallace is eccentric but a very lovable character.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (833 ratings) 6.3 IMDB Rating 0
Shrek (Shrek series): He may seem gruff, but he's actually quite a nice guy when you get to know him. Plus he kicks ass.
Monstermaster's rating:
Barry B. Benson (Bee Movie): Bee Movie is the first introduction I got to the comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his observational humor, and I just love Barry because of his sense of humour and his relationship with Vanessa.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (896 ratings) 6.3 IMDB Rating 0
Megamind (Megamind) : There's so much to love about this brilliantly concieved supervillain turned good guy, I already listed my top 12 reasons why I love this guy but I'm just going to mention them again, for one thing he has the best taste in music ever, some of the most awesome entrances, an over-the-top but lovable personality and child-like innocence, I love his misprounications and his relationship with Roxanne as well as his partnership with Minion and not to mention the brainbots and other gadgets as well as the disguise generator. And need I mention those eyes? Those beautiful eerie chautreussian neon green eyes convey such an impressive range of emotions and not to mention when he's impersonating Bernard he's just so sweet and kinda adorable despite his nerdy appearance.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (1544 ratings) 6.7 IMDB Rating 0
Po (Kung Fu Panda): Speaking of big and cuddly, here's one panda who defines awesomeness and cute all in one package - yep, it's Po from Kung Fu Panda, and he's big, cuddly and just plain awesome, to top it off he's voiced by Jack Black. Some critics called Po a "furry John Candy" which certain goes well with his lovable personality.
Monstermaster's rating:
Roddy St James (Flushed Away): Flushed Away is one of my favorite animated movies and I just adore Roddy, he's suave, witty and not to mention he's voiced by Hugh Jackman (he even pulls out a Wolverine costume in the start of the movie), he's one classy rat I can't help but adore. I know some people say he's a mouse but I always think of him as a rat - even though on IMDB he's refered to as a mouse (he's even referred to as a mouse on the back of the dvd cover), but to me he's more of...a fancy rat.

Bunnymund/Easter Bunny (Rise Of The Guardians): The most badass easter bunny in the history of Easter Bunny depictions.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (22 ratings) 5.7 IMDB Rating 0
Skipper (Madagascar series): Out of all the crazy characters in the Madagascar films, the Penguins are my favorite. Skipper is a great leader.
Monstermaster's rating:
Tigress (Kung Fu Panda): Master Tigress is a vixen and not only that - she kicks ass. I love her! Plus she is not bad looking for a tiger.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (801 ratings) 7.8 IMDB Rating 0
Monkey (Kung Fu Panda): Master Monkey is awesome and also very mischievous, not to mention he is amazingly flexible with his fighting skills.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (977 ratings) 6.6 IMDB Rating 0
North (Rise Of The Guardians): Baldwin made up for his past sins by taking on the voice role of North/Santa Claus, Santa is an absolute badass in Rise Of The Guardians. Not to mention the yetis in place of reindeer thing is a nice touch.
Monstermaster's rating:
Average listal rating (1898 ratings) 7.7 IMDB Rating 0
Kitty Softpaws (Puss In Boots): She's adorable and badass - just like Puss himself.
