" A cowardly soldier is stationed at an isolated military outpost with a bunch of misfits in Sierra Nevada following the Mexican-American War in 1847. The characters where interesting in theory but I felt like I didn't get to know them very well,"

"The survivor of a tragic frontier disaster leads a group of military misfits into the wilds to look for survivors...but it's not survivors that awaits them but death. An amazing film laced with a dark comic edge, top notch performances, a fantastic score, and one helluva final confrontation."

"You are what you eat. Both literally, and figuratively speaking."

"Alfred Packer/The Donner Party The story in the film itself, takes it inspiration from cases of cannibalism, in 1840's California, Nevada, and Colorado, including that of Alfred Packer, and the infamous Donner party massacre."
