Blood Diamond (2006)

I watched this movie at school. My English teacher has a great taste in movies! I had watched Blood Diamond before, but I was really glad to see it again. I had almost forgotten how good this movie is. The story is heartbreaking and I was crying after watching it. Two brilliant performances from Leonardo DiCaprio (I didn't mind his accent, I find it amusing.) and Djimon Hounsou! The music is also beautiful.

Django Unchained (2012)

Quentin Tarantino has done it again. He has created another brilliant movie! Django Unchained is bloody, stylish and entertaining! The story is incredibly interesting and enthralling. Jamie Foxx gave one of his greatest performances, but Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz were the stars in this movie! The soundtrack is also terrifc!

Duh. I guess that several women (and men) like this movie, mainly because of the actors who are taking their clothes off. I don't say that I didn't like it, but... I'm actually not a big fan of the actors in this movie and I didn't like the characters either. However, there is something about this movie that kept me interested (and I'm not talking about the stripping/dancing!), but till the end I felt disappointed.

Ted (2012)

I've waited a long time to watch this movie. My friends have told me that this movie was great and therefore I had to watch it. I enjoyed this movie. There are some hilarious moments where I couldn't stop laughing! Not all of the jokes are that funny, though. Most of them are actually a bit offensive, but aren't many of Seth MacFarlane's jokes offensive? The storyline has its flaws, but the movie is still a lot of fun to watch.

Team America: World Police (2004)

My friends and I were going to watch a movie. For some reasons, we decided to watch this movie. Wow! I don't know what to say about this movie... It's so silly, but it's funny!

Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

Finally I got to watch this movie! I didn't have the time to watch it at the cinema... Anyway, I was really looking forward to see it, and it didn't ruin my expectations! I'm actually not a fan of that type of genre, but I thought this movie was a pure joy! There were some moments where I burst into laughter. I actually had to skip back to those moments and watch them again. I also loved Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. Their characterizations were amazing! This movie is sweet, fresh and engaging, and I recommend you to watch it!

Billy Elliot (2000)

This movie evoked so many emotions. I smiled, laughed, cried and got mad while watching it. This is really a charming and heartwarming movie. I loved Billy and Jamie Bell did a fantastic performance.
SML96's rating:

The Mummy (1999)

Entertaining? Yes. Extraordinary? No. The Mummy works as a solid adventure movie, and those who likes that genre will probably find it enjoyable.
SML96's rating:

Grave of the Fireflies (1988)

This is one of the saddest war-related movies I've ever seen. It nearly destroyed me when I watched it, I dropped lots of tears. The story is so heartbreaking. It makes you think about how horrifying it must have been living during the war and how much cruelty there are in this world. The movie is really beautiful and touching, and the brilliant music captures the deep emotions. Grave of the Fireflies has become one of my favorite movies from Studio Ghibli, but I think that I won't be able to see it again for a long time.
SML96's rating:

Sabrina (1954)

I am really fascinated by classic movies and I find them wonderful. This movie is not an exception. I love Audrey Hepburn, and she is stunning in this movie. Absolutely charming! She alone makes this movie worth watching. Then there is also Humphrey Bogart, who gives a great performance.
SML96's rating:

Hotel Transylvania (2012)

Childish movie with outdated humor, though I have to say that there were some funny parts. I get tired of watching movies about a dad who doesn't want to let her daughter go out and see the big world. This movie could have focused on something else, if you ask me.
SML96's rating:

The Rock (1996)

The movie has all the ingredients to become a good action movie, and it doesn't disappoint. It's exciting and badass. The storyline is very thrilling and the leading actors are giving good performances. Some of the dialogues are pretty dull, but it doesn't bother me too much. I must also mention the brilliant music of Hans Zimmer. His music brings chills and manages to capture the thrills in the movie.
