The Decoy Bride (2011)
I think Scotland is a beautiful country, so the fact that this movie takes place on a Scottish island, is a plus. As for the story, I find it to be weird, and pretty nonsense. Kelly MacDonald manage to bring some charm to her character. I love David Tennant, but sometimes he seems pretty uncomfortable to be in this movie, poor man. I don't see much chemistry between the leads either. There were some sweet moments, though...

Well, it's definitely pleasing to the eye. This movie is very different from other vampire movies. It moves really slow, and it focuses on the relationship between Adam and Eve, and how they manage to live in the world (almost no blood and gore, for a change). Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston fit those roles perfectly. For some viewers the movie might be an interesting character study, and a joy for the them to watch all those cultural references from the different centuries. For others, like me (unfortunately), there isn't much there to catch my interest...
SML96's rating:

It's a rather quirky movie, judging by the story and the title, but it's still an enjoyable watch. The cast is good. I wish they could've toned less with the romantic subplots. And this movie needed more humor. Kristen Scott Thomas was funny, though.

The First Time (2013)
This movie felt very genuine, and I'm one who's not a big fan of romantic movies. I loved the duo. Watching them interact was adorable and pleasant. It's just felt real.

This Means War (2012)
Thanks to likeable actors, this movie got more funnier to watch, but the whole concept was ridiculous, though.

Pitch Perfect (2012)
I like a capella, and many of the musical numbers were good. I also like Anna Kendrick. What buggers me are the occasionally cheap humor, and all the stereotypes. Also, this movie should've been shorter, if you ask me.

The Breakfast Club (1985)
The characters tell us that they are defined as stereotypes (and they do come across as stereotypes), and by the end of the movie they try to prove us that they aren't. I just don't find the way the characters are being handled to be very convincing. However, there were several genuine moments, and the performances were good.

The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Oh dear...
This was loud and utterly stupid. The storyline wasn't engaging at all, and the action sequences seriously lacked adrenaline. I didn't like any of the characters, and the romantic subplots gave nothing. Also, the soundtrack got me crazy.
