Surprisingly bland. I saw the trailer a while ago and got my hopes up I guess for this being interesting. Sure it was interesting but there was no real depth in the way they told the story. There was no new information and the film didn't really encourage any real conversation about the subject.

Overall the movie was at times hard to follow and even annoying. It was fairly exhausting to follow the tiny facebook chat messages etc. And they kind of over did it with the bad connection. And that ending was lame. I guess it's a cool idea and probably a beginning of a new genre of movies, but in the end it was kind of 'meh'.

I rather liked the movie. It only took me like 5 years to watch Ichi the Killer. I guess because of all the hype of violence I had created in my head, it was slightly surprising it wasn't as gory as I would've thought. So fun and weird tho.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)

I've seen the swedish version and I freaking love the whole millenium trilogy, but this... just no. I love David Fincher but all in all this was a useless movie, it offered little new views to the story. Other than Lisbeth seemed more into Mikael in this one. Great soundtrack tho. I just can't look past the fact that americans have to make their own movie so they don't have to read subtitles.
