Drag Me to Horror Movie Heaven...
Easily the purest Sam Raimi movie since Evil Dead II, Drag Me to Hell is a triumph - one of the best movies of 2009. This horror tour de force is precisely the movie needed to revitalise the genre after a string of superfluous remakes (The Grudge, One Missed Call) and torture porn features ... read more

" To be quite frank, if I wanna be dragged to Hell, all I hafta do is stop emptily escaping into the internet, walk away from my computer, and go out into the world we are currently living in. And if that sounds like some kind of political/social statement about these modern times, that's because it is. And if me saying that makes you feel uncomforatble or uneasy, then all I can say is, welcome to Hell. Glad I was able to drag you into it."

"Re-watch - Oct. 31st Halloween Marathon We watched the theatrical version of Drag Me to Hell because I knew she would NOT be OK with the sacrifice scene. She was unhappy enough about it happening without having to sit through the accompanying visuals. Aside from that, however, she mostly enjoyed it though I don't know that she liked it as well as I do. If nothing else it should give her some context going forward for bodily fluids being used for gross-out gags in comedic horror."
