Monster (2004)
It's funny how there are so many great films about fictional serial killers but they are successful and well done maybe because of the fact that they are so far away from the people the story and characters are based on but at the same time you have many similarities. Maybe that's why we love Hannibal Lecter, he has different qualities of different real life killers and there hasn't really been a killer like him in real life (Obviously even the cannibal doctor isn't completely like him).
"So I made a deal. I said God I gotta spend this 5 bucks but when it's gone so am I so, if you got something for me in this life you better bring it on, and there she was."

The Iceman (2013)
"Mr. Kuklinski, do you have any regrets about the things you've done?"

drugs's rating:

"There is no record of an orca doing any harm to a human in the wild."

drugs's rating:

Valentine's Day (2010)
"Valentine's day was a massacre in Chicago where lots of people were killed
and they put a curse on the Chicago cubs."

It Might Get Loud (2009)
But to be honest the whole doc was cool. Just three talented guys hanging out, one of them being maybe a bit of a fan boy (Jack White clearly adores Jimmy Page as we all know). But all in all a good look at each of their musical history with the occasional great jam session. Good stuff.
OH and that intro was awesome. Seriously.
"The day when you pick up a guitar there's nothing coming through whatsoever. There's no new pieces or new ideas. And that's the sort of gift any creative person has. There's always that point when it might happen to you, when you're too old to pick the guitar up. And we're just trying to keep that day far, far away, and out of sight."

Punk in Africa (2012)

drugs's rating:

"I worry about how much pressure my daughters feel. In a society that features anorexic actresses and models and television stars, we get conditioned to think this is what women should look like."

drugs's rating:

Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory (2012)
"If I focused on the things I can't change, the things that have hurt me, what people have done to me, then they would have already broken me. They would have killed me inside and out. I can get up in the morning and I don't feel sorry for myself, I don't hate my life."

drugs's rating:

"I knew from when I was real small people were gonna know who I was, I always had that feeling... I just never knew how they were gonna learn. I kind of enjoy it now because even after I die, people are gonna remember me forever. People are gonna talk about me for years."

drugs's rating:

"He says he wants to be me, or he'll kill me."

drugs's rating:

Sharknado (2013)
"We can't just wait here for sharks to rain down on us."

drugs's rating:

Flashbacks of a Fool (2008)

drugs's rating:

"When you are young, your potential is infinite. You might do anything, really. You might be Einstein. You might be DiMaggio. Then you get to an age where what you might be gives way to what you have been. You weren't Einstein. You weren't anything. That's a bad moment."

drugs's rating:

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)
"You see, there are still faint glimmers of civilization left in this barbaric slaughterhouse that was once known as humanity. Indeed that's what we provide in our own modest, humble, insignificant... oh, fuck it."

drugs's rating:

" I'm not the hero. I'm the guy in the crowd making fun of the hero's shirt; that's who I am."

Rat King (2012)
Oletko pelaaja vai tehtรคvรค? [Are you the gamer or the task?]

drugs's rating:

"It's your fucking world, mate, not mine.
You can stick it up your arse, I don't want it!"

drugs's rating:

Carrie (2013)
"Carrie had some sort of power. But she was just like me...
like any of you. She had hopes, she had fears, but we pushed her.
And you can only push someone so far before they break."

drugs's rating:

Children of Men (2006)
"As the sound of the playgrounds faded, the despair set in. Very odd, what happens in a world without children's voices."

Deranged (1976)
"Remember what I've always told you:
The wages of sin is gonorrhea, syphilis, and death."

"And just because I'm dead doesn't mean I can't have a splitting headache."

Heathers (1989)
"Dear Diary, my teen-angst bullshit now has a body count."

"Chase the morning. Yield for nothing."

Doctor Who (1996)
"The universe hangs by such a delicate thread of coincidences that it would be useless to meddle with it, unless like me you're a Time Lord."

drugs's rating:

Karla (2006)
To be honest, I'm really not that interested in the case of Karla Homolka And Paul Bernardo.
"He had a great job. He was smart.
He was living the life I always dreamed of."

"You could smell sickness, death, something."

"But the saw, the saw is family."

I do not watch movies frequently enough to make a monthly movie diary but I am trying to watch more movies so I made your basic movie diary for the whole year.
