Queen of the Damned (2002)
Another vampire movie. But I had to watch it. It wasn't wonderful, it wasn't awful. I'm kind of just indifferent.
Lydia's rating:

The Zodiac (2006)
I watched Zodiac last month, this movie took a slightly different perspective than the other movie. I couldn't say which one I preferred, they were both good.
Lydia's rating:

The Pianist (2002)
Very touching, I love movies about the holocaust. Or maybe "love" isn't the right word. Rather I am intrigued by holocaust movies.
I found that I lost some intrest towards the end, but overall I enjoyed it.

Lydia's rating:

This Means War (2012)
An adorable romantic comedy. :]
This movie had everything I love:
-Men with BEAUTIFUL blues
-Men with a SEXY accent
-Reese Witherspoon
-An unexpected but cute ending

The Lazarus Project (2008)
I am really starting to love Paul Walker (for more than just his eyes).
The first half hour of this movie was very much predictable, but after that it kept you guessing, and I like that.

Lydia's rating:

Trapped (2002)
I watched this movie because it kept popping up on netflix and the description sounded dumb, so I kept ignoring it. I ended up watching it just for a laugh.
It turned out to be really good! I loved it!

Lydia's rating:

Haywire (2012)
This movie had very little dialouge. I'm a multi-tasker so little talking is a problem. But it was pretty good.
Lydia's rating:

Your Highness (2011)
Typical crude jokes and humor. Excessive cursing. Just your typical comedy, really, only set in "old times".
It reminded me of monty python and the holy grail.
Not my favorite, not my least favorite.

Lydia's rating:

Bubble Boy (2001)
I've heard this movie referenced so many times, and I should have watched it way back when, but I didn't. So I decided to today. Not bad. Not amazing. Pretty typical, really.
Lydia's rating:

Bobby Z (2007)
I'm on a Paul Walker kick right now, and so I obviously had to watch this. Then in the opening credits i saw Olivia Wilde's name and was SUPER excited.
The movie wasn't WONDERFUL, but good. And with my two favorites, I had to give it an extra star :]

Lydia's rating:

The Air I Breathe (2007)
I'm not usually a huge fan of "puzzle-piece" movies, as I call them. Everybody connected in a weird way and you don't know until the end.
This one wasn't TOO confusing, so I'll give it that. Not bad.

Lydia's rating:

Hatchet (2010)
I'm trying really hard to think of a positive comment for this movie...
but i just can't.
but i just can't.
Lydia's rating:

Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)
Not understanding the hype for this movie. I really couldn't stand it. The only plus was Hugh Grant's accent ;]
Lydia's rating:

The Caller (2011)
This movie had an interesting mix of killer/time warps. We've all seen the typical "go back in time and change stuff and this happens" movies, and we have also all seen the "stranger calls and threatens whomever" movies. This was a unique combination of the two.
And it actually made my skin crawl a time or two- that does NOT happen often.

Lydia's rating:

It was decent. Made for a pretty good laugh.
The worst part was that I kept pictureing Timon from the Lion King.
I really dislike Uma Thurman, but in this movie she wasn't bad.

Lydia's rating:

Rush Hour 3 (2007)
I really didn't pay much attention to the actual plot of the movie, I more just listened to it and laughed at the jokes- which I throughly enjoyed.
So I give it that.
Did they really need to make 3 Rush Hour movies though? Probably not.

Lydia's rating:

Cruel Intentions (1999)
I love Reese Witherspoon, and Sarah Michelle Geller is growing on me. CAn't say that I was a fan of Ryne Phillippe's acting, but it didn't ruin the movie.
I found it very good, and I love seeing Reese at a younger age.

Lydia's rating:

New Year's Eve (2011)
Excellent. I've said before that I am not usually a big fan of "puzzle piece" storylines, but i did like this one. It would have been better if the people were all connected, but still excellent.
Lydia's rating:

Playback (2012)
This made my skin crawl a little bit, too. so that means it was a hit in my book.
it reminded me vaugely of the ring, though

Lydia's rating:

Blood and Chocolate (2007)
I was pleased that there were no vampires in this movie. I am so tired of werewolves being paired with vampires in EVERY SINGLE movie/tv show.
This was a good movie. Thumbs up!

Lydia's rating:

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010)
Always fun to watch a horror satire :]
I've seen parts of this before, but thought i should probably see the whole thing eventually.
It was the perfect show of how stupid people in horror movies are.

Lydia's rating:

Horsemen (2009)
Loved the twist ending. And the entire movie kept me wondering. Excellent.
Lydia's rating:

The Avengers (2012)
I loved it! It was definitely better than any of the other Marvel movies (aside from Iron Man)
I just wish that they had explained Hawkeye better [i actually had to ask a friend who the heck he was after the movie was over] and expanded more on Black Widow

Lydia's rating:

Visually, this movie was stunning.
I also loved the way the director made it in an "old-timey" feel.
As for the overall movie itself, it was average.

Stolen (2009)
YAY! Another thumbs up for a random netflix movie!
The different stories connected well in the end, but in a slightly unexpected way.

Lydia's rating:

21 Jump Street (2012)
This movie was perfect! It was so cliche in a very non-cliche way. Loved it! And Channing Tatumn did a good job.
Lydia's rating:

Bless the Child (2000)
This movie was really good, until about 30 minutes from the end. Then it got pretty lame and corny. It reminded me a lot of "Drag Me to Hell", which is NOT a compliment
Lydia's rating:

This one was actually fairly humorus. I know that I saw the first movie, but it obviously did not make a lasting impression on me as I don't even remember if I liked it or not. But this one was decent.
(I wish I could have a mini elephant!)

The Skeptic (2010)
Well, it started out pretty good- creepyish scenario, decent acting, a fairly likeable set of characters, and then went south.
towards the end I could hardly even bare to finish it.

Lydia's rating:

I actually really enjoyed this movie. I know it has low ratings, but I personally liked it. It had the right amount mystery and suspence to keep you interested.
My one complaint is that they really didn't wrap up ANY of the questions. This biggest being WHAT THE HELL ACTUALLY HAPPENED? Where did everybody go? Why were those specific people left? I still don't know.
It ended with an unexpected conclusion/cliff-hanger. Just watch it and rant about it with me. haha

Piranha 3D (2010)
I would have liked this movie better if it had featured the cast of Jersey Shore :]
But on a more serious note, I knew exactly what I was going to see when I started watching it, and it didn't disapoint.
Basically it was a guy's movie through and through- blood, boobs, drinking. typical
I can't imagine seeing it in 3D, it would have been pointless.
oh, yeah. I gotta say that I loved the ending

Lydia's rating:

Amanda has come so far since Mean Girls. Her acting evolved in every way imaginable. This movie was no exceptiong.
We have all seen the is "she crazy or isn't she?" movies, film directors are obviously running out of ideas. But this one was good, and I would watch it again.

One for the Money (2012)
Favorite quote:
"we got this 'good cop/bad cop' thing goin, except we hookers"
very cute. but i'm a sucker for katherine heigel.
however, it seemed like her jersey accent came and went throughout the movie. that's my only complaint

Confined (2010)
Ehh, it's been done before, so I'd call it average.
But the ending was a good switch up- one that I haven't seen before.

Lydia's rating:

Man on a Ledge (2012)
Clever, very clever. It was really good for a heist movie and it wasn't what i was expecting- that's a good thing in my book.
Lydia's rating:

100 Feet (2008)
Famke Janssen has become one of my favorite actresses in a very short time. this movie actually creeped me out to an extent, so it automatically gets a good rating for that reason alone.
The acting was good, the plot was good. overall, I liked it.

Lydia's rating:

Love Actually (2003)
I finally, finally, FINALLY finished this movie. It's been sitting half watched on my computer for months and months. To be honest, it bored me. Was it well written? Yeah, I suppose. But it simply did not catch nor keep my intrest.
Lydia's rating:

Youth in Revolt (2010)
This was a re-watch; I just needed something amusing to listen to while I lazed about, basically.
I liked it no more and no less than I did the first time that I saw it.

Lydia's rating:

Oh my, where do I begin? I'm not really sure why I even bothered watching this; it was simply terrible.
The acting was beyond poor(the mother being the absolute WORST), and the story line didn't even make sense.
The only reason that I even finished it was because I wanted to be able to truly say, "yes, it was bad from start to finish"...and it was.
There were so many little quirks throughout the whole movie that I won't even bother ranting about them.
sorry if this is your favorite movie and i offended you. but if it is, please go watch some good cinema and get back to me.

Lydia's rating:

My main complaint about this movie is that there simply was not enough Rachel McAdams!
Other than that, I thought it was very cleverly done and well put together.
I always love Robert Downey Jr.

Lydia's rating:

A little dull and not really "my type" of movie. But I watched it because I wanted to see more of Famke Janssen's work, and I thought that her performance was good.
Lydia's rating:

Forever Strong (2008)
I don't normally like sports movies, and I don't know the first thing about Rugby, so I went in with low expectations.
Was it amazing? No.
Was it pretty good? Yes.
Will I watch it again? I could, but probably not.

Lydia's rating:

For a prequal made nearly 20 years after the orignial, it wasn't awful, but definitely not good either.
The songs were uninspiring, the voices were not close enough to the orignial, they made Flounder extremely annoying, and the story line in general simply didn't connect well to The Little Mermaid.
They would have been better off not making this one.

Lydia's rating:

Safe House (2012)
Basically, it was a Dezel Washington movie. I don't really know how else to describe it, honsetly.
Lydia's rating:

Hot Fuzz (2007)
An average moive. Very typical humor, but not bad. It should have been significantly shorter, though. then it might have kept my attention.
Lydia's rating:

Beneath the Dark (2010)
Started out like SO many other movies...couple driving into the wilderness and end up at a deserted motel.
From there it was a little less typical, but (I won't lie) a little confusing.
The ending was predictable.
Just an average movie.

Don't Say a Word (2001)
So it has a low rating, but I personally thought it was great. It's been done before, but not in this way.I give it a thumbs up for sure.
Lydia's rating:

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005)
Hooray! A movie that is actually worth a good rating! I love Robert Downey Jr., and I loved this movie.
It was a relief to watch a good action comedy :D
