Gravity (2013)
(I really regret not seeing this in theaters in 3D.)

If you decide to go, then you gotta just get on with it. Sit back, enjoy the ride. You gotta plant both your feet on the ground and start livin' life. Hey, Ryan? It's time to go home.
Either I make it down there in one piece and I have one hell of a story to tell, or I burn up in the next ten minutes.
Lydia's rating:

Despite Rachel McAdam's best efforts, this simply did not work. Was it a total waste of time? No. But I won't be watching it again.

Lydia's rating:

Best Man Down (2013)
A good drama. Definitely underrated. Was I the only one that couldn't stand the wife? For heaven's sake, have some compassion.

Like corny, but not necessarily witty puns*? Like incredibly over-done and obvious jokes? Like vague and sad story lines? Well, then this one is for you! They should have left this movie without a sequel.
Cringe-worthy puns:
-I'm not a barista! I'm a police-sta!
-They came here to help you, and so are we. So let us.
[Cut to a leaf of lettuce]
-There's a leak in the boat!
[camera pans down to an actual leek who starts screaming in panic]
-Tacodiles supreme!
-Stand back i'm gonna cut the cheese.
**I actually love dumb puns, but it feels overdone in recent animated movies.

FINALLY saw this and LOVED IT!
This review was perfect :)

I'm usually a fan of Simon Pegg, but he just didn't do it for me this time. Oddly enough, I actually preferred Kirsten Dunst's performance, and she is one of my least favorite actresses.

Lydia's rating:

Lilo & Stitch (2002)
It's been a long time since I've watched this classic, and I forgot how witty it was. It still only gets a 7.5~8, but it holds up.

Lydia's rating:

Frozen (2013)
Okay, this was good, but not as good as I was expecting. It was definitely hyped up to extreme proportions. I felt like there was a wee bit too much singing which caused it to delay the story line. Yes, "Let It Go" was amazing, but I had heard it about a million times BEFORE I saw the movie, so it didn't seem quite as spectacular.
The biggest thing for me was where did Elsa get her powers? And WHY does she have them? Does it run in the family or something? And I understand why Elsa had to stay in her room for like, 15 years, but why couldn't Anna go OUT? And did nobody else in the entire kingdom remember that Elsa had powers? What about the servants? Surly SOMEBODY else noticed.
Anyway, it was still cutesy and great for kids. For adults there were some good songs and it was visually, stunning. That's for sure. The animation was on par.
Oh, and Olaf was perfect. Although Disney is starting to rely too much on the adorable side kick.

Geography Club (2013)
A cute, although a bit cliche, coming of age/accepting yourself film. I liked the relationship between Russell and his best friend, Gunnar.
Overall, I felt it ended kind of abruptly, but other than that it was worth watching.

Paranoia (2013)
Incredibly average. Liam Hemsworth is gorgeous, though. I'll give you that.
