Note: This movie is amazing. The movie holds up well and the movie has amazing visuals for a movie that came out back in 1911. I still find the movie to be very creepy and disturbing at times. This movie has that surreal feeling of being in one long hellish nightmare. This movie was made nearly a decade before The Cabinet of Dr. Cagliari and it still feels very haunting. Horror movies sure have come a long way in the last 107 years.

Note: What can be said about this movie that has not been said already? I watched the movie for the 50th anniversary and I loved this movie since I was 5 years old. Night of the Living Dead is just perfect in my opinion. The story, characters, writing, the atmosphere, and cinematography are just fantastic.

I like Night of the Living Dead over Dawn of the Dead and the other movies in the Dead series because Night of the Living Dead feels so authentic in my opinion. The movie feels like both a B movie and a classy film at the same time. The movie being filmed in Black & White makes the movie feel even more creeper and disturbing in my opinion. Night of the Living Dead always felt like one big long episode of the Twilight Zone which is why I love this movie.

Note: This was the first time seeing this movie since 2006. Slither is a lot of fun and a cool homage to classic 80s B horror movies. The movie has some characters that I don't care for and you have characters that make some really dumb discussions. Overall, I still like this movie a lot and it is worth checking out.

Note: I had high hopes for this movie, but I didn't like it that much. I could not get into the story and characters. Most of the movie was pretty boring to me. I do think the acting and direction was good. It's not a bad movie, I just didn't like it as much as most people did.

Note: I saw this movie when it came out in theaters when I was a kid back in 1998. I think this movie is a very fun and awesome movie. I like all of the characters and the movie was pretty suspenseful at times. I also love the atmosphere in the movie and how they build up the creature in the movie. Not to mention, the humor in the movie is pretty funny too.

I do think the CG has aged terribly and it looks like dog shit now.

Note: I remember watching this movie on TV when I was a little kid back in the mid-90s. Basket Case is a very fun horror movie from the early 80s and I still think the movie holds up pretty well in my opinion. I love how this movie feels very dirty and grungy. The movie has a lot of fun and creative death and gore scenes that are a lot of fun to watch. I also enjoy most of the characters in the movie.

Overall, Basket Case is a fun 80s creature feature and is worth checking out.

Note: This movie is great from start to finish. The movie has a great story of an eternal struggle of good vs. evil and the inter lust & greed inside of humans. The special effects are amazing for a 92-year-old movie and the camera work is brilliant. I also love the great use of fog and shadows in the movie. I highly recommended this film.

Note: I was looking around on Netflix for a movie to watch on Netflix and I saw this movie. It looks like it could be a fun movie and I was like "Why not?". It's not a bad movie, but it's nothing special neither. The movie is nothing new or original, but I still find it watchable.

I do think the movie can be really creepy at times with your house being watched by someone 24/7 as if your life was the Truman Show. The acting and characters are okay, but I was curious to watch and see how the story unfolded. I would recommend this movie if you have nothing else to watch on a rainy day.

Note: Dario Argento's first movie and his most underrated movie in my opinion. While it's not his best movie, I still think it is a very good movie. The Cinematography is amazing because of the great use of colors. Every bit of this movie is just wonderful to look at. This movie feels like a painting at times for how colorful this movie looks.

The story is really good too in my opinion because I like all of the characters and how they handle the mystery in the movie. You can easily put yourself in the main characters shoes and try to slove the mystery with him when watching the movie. The score is excellent and the twist still surprises me after so many years.

Note: 20 years later, this movie still holds up in my opinion. Blade is everything that the 1997 Spawn movie should have been. Blade was R rated with blood, gore, and fun stylish action sequences. Sure the CG is dated and some dialogue is not very good, but the action is still great. The story is nice and simple which is not a bad thing. With Blade, you don't need to have a complex story or anything trying to be deep. The movie also has a fun supporting cast of characters, and they did a great job on the relationship between Blade and Whistler. The soundtrack is still pretty awesome as well. I don't have anything else to say about this movie.

Overall, Blade is still a fun action movie that is worth checking out.

Note: I first saw this movie back in the mid-2000s on DVD when I was 15 or 16 and I haven't seen it since then. I think this movie is still awesome in my opinion. I love how dark and suspenseful that this movie is. The high level of blood and gore really helps create a intense atmosphere in the film. The plot twist is not as bad as some people make it out to be. It never bother me that much. This movie is worth checking out.

Note: With the upcoming Halloween movie coming up, I decided to revisit the original movie. What can be said about this movie that has not been said a million times before. This movie is top notch film making from start to finish. The setting, the characters, the story and the overall tone of this movie is just perfect in my opinion. I think the acting in this movie is not bad neither. People give slasher movies a bad rep, but I feel like Halloween is a pretty classy movie when it comes to slasher movies. The Thing is still my favorite horror movie from John Carpenter, but I still love this movie.

Note: This is my personal favorite movie from Umberto Lenzi because this movie is one big thrill ride from start to finish. I always have a total blast when I revisit this movie. This movie does look cheap, but I don't care. This movie has some over the top death scenes that are so much fun to watch. I always rewind back to those scenes because they give me a smile. Not to mention this movie does have some serious themes going for it such as anti-nuclear and anti-military message. Talking about how the humanity is slowly destroying our selves and how the military gets in the way of things.

I do think this movie is pretty relevant in today's world. Highly recommended this movie if you haven't seen it yet.

Note: Most people don't like this movie while I love this film. I love how dark, sick and surreal this movie is. This movie uses surrealistic elements on what you find in other movies like El Topo and Videodrome. This movie came out 10 years before Inception and I always like The Cell over Inception, to be honest. I also do love the story and I feel like the movie gets better with each viewing. The more you watch this movie, the better you can understand the characters in my opinion. I recommended this movie.

Note: I haven't seen this movie in over 15 years on VHS. This movie is fun trashy garbage. The movie is filled with blood, sex, and gore from start to finish. While the plot is silly and over the top, but these type of movies are not meant to watch for their plots. You watch Grindhouse movies for the trash factor. I would give this movie a higher rating if it was shorter. I was started to get bored with this movie during the final act of the film. Overall, I would suggest to check out this movie if you enjoy trashy cinema.

Note: I loved this movie ever since I saw the movie on late night cable over 20 years ago. This movie still holds up well and everything about this movie is awesome. The story, characters, the gore, the dark humor and the over top violence makes this movie fantastic to watch.

What has stuck with me through the years after seeing this movie so many times is just how impressive the special effects are. The effects looked just as impressive today as they did back in 1985.

Note: I grew up with the Tales from the Crypt TV series and both movies as a kid in the 90s. It was nice to revisit this movie again after 20+ years. While it's not amazing by all means, but it is a pretty solid movie. The movie does a good job handling comedy, action, horror, and drama into one. I also love Billy Zane in this movie and it's probably his best role in my opinion. The special effects are still pretty good too.

The worst thing about the movie is the story is a bit messy, but at least they don't take the story too seriously. I would recommended it if you're curious.

Note: One of my favorite Mario Bava movies for how violent and brutal it is. The movie can be a bit confusing at times, but the death scenes are so much fun to watch. Unlike most slasher movies, I do care about the characters and what happens to them. I also think the movie is beautifully shot and every scene is colorful to look at. I recommended this movie if you haven't seen it yet.

Note: I saw this movie on TNT back in the day and I haven't seen it in ages. 20+ years later, I still like this movie. I do think the movie does have problems with the story and acting, but the movie is still enjoyable nevertheless. I do love the atmosphere in this movie because it really feels like the movie takes place on Halloween night. The cinematography is also great because I love how everything looks in the movie. The lighting and the use of darkness are fantastic in my opinion.

Despite the flaws that this movie has, I still think this movie still holds up well. Check it out if you get the chance.

Note: I haven't seen this movie in over 10 years and decided to rewatch the movie on Blu-Ray. The first major horror movie with gore and possible the first example of extreme cinema. The gore is dated, but it does look good for its time. Imagine seeing this movie back in 1963 and seeing this level of violence for the first time ever.

My biggest issue with the movie is that the movie can be pretty boring when people are not being killed and Connie Mason's character is the only one that I like the most next to Mal Arnold as the main bad guy. Overall, Blood Feast is still pretty enjoyable. The movie is worth checking out for the historical factor.

Note: I haven't seen this movie since I was 16 and I still love it. Easily in my top 30 favorite movies of all time. While the story is rather simple, the visuals, music, and atmosphere are fanastic. I love how this movie sucks you in as soon as the movie starts. Everything is so dark, sick and beautiful that I love every bit of those movies. I also love all the characters and the mythology of Witches that this movie created. I do agree that the ending is a bit lackluster, but I still love this movie. Highly recommended!

Note: I have seen this movie pop up on my Netflix feed before and didn't know anything about it. I found out that it was made by the guy who did Green Room and decided to give it a watch. While it's not a bad movie, I didn't like this movie as much as most people did to be honest. I felt like the first half of the movie was kinda boring and didn't kick off until the last act of the movie.

Some of the humor is pretty funny and I do like the chainsaw scene at the movie, but everything else about this movie was pretty meh. I feel like the characters don't have much to do for almost nearly an hour into the movie other than doing drugs and talking about each other. Overall, I found it to be a pretty funny movie that could have been better. Not a bad way to start off Jeremy Saulnier's career.

Note: I still think this movie holds up very well and I consider it to be better than the original movie in my opinion. It's not Scorsese's best movie, but still a great movie.

Robert De Niro as Max Cady is fantastic and his role is still pretty creepy. He does a great job on playing a villain that is disturbing and creepy. I also love how Scorcese is able to make the movie feel scary and suspenseful by using almost only close up shots giving that feeling of claustrophobia.

While I do like the original Cape Fear movie a lot, I prefer this version over the original for having better acting, writing and direction in my opinion. I highly recommended this movie if you haven't seen it yet.

Note: I never bother with this movie for the last few years, but I decided to watch it at a Halloween party tonight with my friends. I was surprised that this movie was pretty decent. I didn't love it or hate it, but I thought it was pretty decent.

I would say that this movie's biggest issue would be that it did had a slow start (I thought the last half an hour is better than the first hour) and the movie does nothing new that we haven't seen before. However, I can't help to enjoy this movie. Overall, I had fun watching this movie and give it a try when you get the chance.

Note: I haven't seen this infamous anime in a while now. I personally, love this anime because how dark, gritty, sleazy and over the top this anime is. This anime is not perfect by all means, but I do think the anime has a good cast of characters that are fun and memorable. I love the Lovecraft cosmic/apocalyptic horror atmosphere that this anime has. I also do enjoy the exploitive violence and sex scenes because it feels like a suitable grind-house movie.

I would recommended to check out the Uncut Japanese version because it adds more to the story that the English version cuts out. While not for everyone, I do think horror anime fans and horror movie fans should enjoy this title.

Note: One of my favorite ghost and haunted house movies since I was a kid. People these days love Insidious, The Conjuring and Paranormal Activity, but this movie is one of my favorite ghost film next to the original House on Haunted Hill and Poltergeist.

I love the story, characters, and the cinematography in this movie. The movie being shot in black and white really help this movie feel more chilling. The camera angles and reflections in this movie are great and are ahead of its time. The movie does make it feel like that you are being haunted by other ghost in the movie. I highly recommanded this movie!

Note: I have a lot of nostalgia of seeing this movie as a kid back in the 90s. I still enjoy this movie even though it is not a great movie. I do find this movie to be a fun B movie from start to finish. The movie even has a fun cast of characters in my opinion.

The CHUDs themselves are very cool looking and the movie has some pretty good special effects. I also love the dark and dirty feeling of the grubby areas of New York City that you have this in this movie. Overall, this movie is a lot of fun to watch. Give it a watch when you get the chance.

Note: I haven't seen this movie in a while. One of the best silent horror movies next to The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Nosferatu, Phantom of the Opera, L'inferno, A Page of Madness, The Phantom Carriage, and Faust if you ask me. Not my #1 favorite Silent Horror movie, but it is pretty high on the list.

This movie is full of great creepy imagery and amazing set pieces that helps makes this movie feel like a true piece of art. I also love the story on how tells us the history of witchcraft and demons while giving us characters that we care about in the story. The movie really does truly captures the essence of humanity and demons. Highly recommended!

Note: I miss out on this movie when it was playing in theaters. I started my 31 Days of Horror with L'Inferno, which was one of the first major full-length horror movies and now I end this month with a major horror movie from this year. It was cool to see how horror has changed in the last 107 years.

I have mixed feelings on this movie, to be honest. The movie is a little over two hours and it felt like it took forever for this movie to kick off. I found the first hour of the movie to be rather boring and it was not until one of the characters is killed off when the movie started to get going (Not spoiling who it is).

The acting is great and the movie has a brilliant use of imagery. It was the slow pacing and the ending that hurt the movie for me. I wanted to love this movie as most people did, but I didn't get into it. If I give this movie a second viewing in the near future, I may like it better.
