Horrorocalypse

I'm not too familiar with the writings of the Divine Comedy that is Dante's Inferno. Nevertheless this was still quite an experience and one I consider as a favorite. The use of the sets and effects to depict Dante's journey through hell is both haunting and creepy. L'Inferno is a 1911 Italian silent film by Giuseppe de Liguoro, loosely adapted from Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy. L'Inferno took over three years to make The film was first screened in Naples in the Teatro Mercadante on March 10, 1911.

" Date: 10/1/2018 Viewed: Streaming (Youtube) Re-watch Note: This movie is amazing. The movie holds up well and the movie has amazing visuals for a movie that came out back in 1911. I still find the movie to be very creepy and disturbing at times. This movie has that surreal feeling of being in one long hellish nightmare. This movie was made nearly a decade before The Cabinet of Dr. Cagliari and it still feels very haunting. Horror movies sure have come a long way in the last 107 years."
