"Been meaning to see this so so long now. I finally decided to buy some of these horror films on my watch list for this Halloween and finally watch them. Was enjoying this okay and the plot twist actually worked for me and we actually looked some scenes again after the end to see if there where foreshadowing/hints for what happened later on. "

I think this movie is still awesome in my opinion. I love how dark and suspenseful that this movie is. The high level of blood and gore really helps create a intense atmosphere in the film. The plot twist is not as bad as some people make it out to be. It never bother me that much. This movie is worth checking out. "
“Since I kept hearing some pretty good things about this movie, I was really eager to check it out. On top of that, since it was Alexandre Aja's breakthrough directing effort, it was definitely interesting. Well, eventually, I wasn't disappointed and this movie was easily Aja's best movie so far. Indeed, even though the story was nothing amazing, it was entertaining enough, the directing was really effective and Philippe Nahon was a solid bad guy. Above all, I was really impressed by Cécile de France. Indeed, she carried the whole thing on her shoulders and she was just quite spellbinding to behold. Basically, it shows that a horror movie works so much better with some strong performances delivered by some skilled actors.
