Darla

I hated her in Buffy, but I started to like her a little more in Angel. The only time I actually kinda didn't mind her character is when she was human, but even then I was annoyed.

Dawn Summers

Connor

The moment Connor was introduced I disliked him. It wasn't until season 5 when I actually started to tolerate his character. He really did deserve a happy home life and the balance of that/his real memories made a nice version of Connor.

Kate Lockley

I originally wished that Kate would be a love interest for Angel, but she got kind of frustrating after a while. I just didn't like her hatred for him, I guess.

Lindsey McDonald

Lindsey was great when he was on the good side. I hated his obsession with Darla, but he was the only likeable person from Wolfram and Hart.

Tara Maclay

I was never really a fan of Amber Benson's acting and when Tara was shown as a love interest for Willow I wasn't pleased. I had liked the idea of Willow/Xander, but their relationship grew on me as did Amber's character.

Robin Wood

He was a great addition to the Scoobies.

Harmony Kendall

Harmony was amazing in Angel. Obviously she didn't completely fill the void after Cordy was off the show, but she was hilarious/entertaining non the less!

Groosalugg

He was a great character and I liked him a lot. I just didn't enjoy his relationship with Cordy. It was sad to see him go the way he did

Charles Gunn

He definitely got better throughout the series but I couldn't handle his tough-guy attitude when he first entered the show. He was awesome in season 5.

Faith

I absolutely loved her character transformation.

Xander Harris

I started to like Xander when he was in a relationship with Anya (completely devastated by how that turned out, by the way). I just couldn't handle his awful jokes at the beginning aha

Cordelia Chase

I was actually the biggest Cordelia fan ever in early Angel. I was surprised at how great her character was since I didn't like her all that much in Buffy. Unfortunately, everything that happened in season 4 completely ruined the character for me. I know that it wasn't actually Cordy that was evil/doing all of the horrible things.. but I don't know. It just ruined her.

It's probably strange to have her so low but there was always something about her that I didn't like. I think I have gone in and out of liking her (for example, I hated her when she was dating Riley), but over all she is obviously a great character.

Winifred "Fred" Burkle

Another character that I grew to love. I was devastated by her death and how short-lived her relationship with Wes was. She was great.

Rupert Giles

Alan Doyle

So sad that Doyle wasn't in the series for longer. I was shocked when I found out he wasn't going to make it past season one. Such a great character and I wish I could have seen him with Cordelia.

Angel

I'm really glad that Angel was given his own spin off. I was never fond of the Angel/Buffy relationship and it made me dislike the character quite a bit. I was always hesitant to watch the Angel series but it made me enjoy the Buffyverse so much more. Angel is a great character and definitely one of my new all time favourites.

Lorne / Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan

It's probably a bit silly to have Lorne this high but I just love love love him so much. When he was first introduced all I could think about was how he needed to be in it more. I'm so glad he was! I was so upset to find out that Andy Hallett had passed away. Such a talented man.

Wesley Wyndam Pryce

Similar to Angel, I really disliked Wes in Buffy. He was just a guy with an awful British accent. In Angel he was so much better. He was more confident and was way more helpful/heroic than I ever thought he could be! I loved bad-ass Wes.

Spike

At first I was pretty unsure of how I felt about Spike, but the more I saw of him the more I loved him. I thought he was hilarious in "Lover's Walk" and I loved seeing his past in the later Buffy seasons. Spike/Buffy will always be OTP. I'm glad I got to see a bit more of him in Angel.

Anya Jenkins

I am seriously in love with her. I found that she was the most interesting character and had the most profound character development. The season finale of Buffy broke my heart but I'm glad that she died a hero. Forever the love of my life!!
