Halloween II (1981)
That's what every single sequel should be. Starts where the first one ends and it happens even at the same night. It's more like you're watching the 'rest' of the first movie.
It loses some points for being a little bit too slow, but it got more blood and deaths. The hospital chase scenes are breathtaking.

Dan's rating:

It loses some points for ruin the end of the second movie and killing the best character for nothing. But at least we are introduced for the new main character, Jamie, interpreted beautifully for the young Danielle Harris.
You'll may miss more blood and it's defenitely the slower so far, but the final chase scene is worth waiting.
The end is one of the best I've seen.

Dan's rating:

It's more like a tribute for the fans. We have the best crew (including the come-back of our heroine Jamie Lee Curtis and other names like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michelle Williams and Josh Hartnett).
It's actually another different sequel for the part 2.
It's like Scream with Michael Myers but it kind of worked. Good chase scenes and the reunion of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers is epic.

Dan's rating:

It's fail as a remake. First because the original movie didn't need a remake at all, everything was still fresh. Second because it made Michael looks like a victim of the society and not more that brutal, dark and mysterious killer. Anyway, it's good as horror movie. Enjoyable to watch with some friends and have fun.
Thumbs up for the come-back of Danielle Harris, who played our sweet Jamie in the part 4 and 5, now giving life for one of the Laurie's friends.

Really? I don't remember this movie at all. I just remember it's a fine story but with some stupid ideas.

Dan's rating:

Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
An amazing opening scene, what a shame it just turned out to become another cliche horror movie, with fool teenagers and scenes after that. It's like you're watching just another fake Reality Show.

Dan's rating:

Stupid ideas. Too much 'blah blah blah' and few good scenes. They tried so hard to make sense that in the end it didn't make any sense at all.

Dan's rating:

Halloween II (2009)
It begins just like the original second part. Good.
And after half hour we discover it was just a dream. Then, we're introduced to one of the worst horror movies ever. All the characters we used to love are now jerks and you just beg Michael to kill them faster. If it wasn't enough, we have Michael's mom with a WHITE HORSE (wtf?) saying 'go on son, kill them'. Please, Rob Zombie, LEAVE MICHAEL ALONE.

Poor Michael, he's sad after this one.

Nightmare On Elm Street
Killer: Freddy Krueger
Sequels: 6
Remakes: 1
Others: A crossover (Freddy vs. Jason), a documentary (Never Sleep Again: The Making of A Nightmare on Elm Street) and a tv serie (Freddy's Nightmares).

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Rising of Freddy Krueger, one of the biggest serial killers of all time. Incredible good scenes, deaths and screenplay.

Dan's rating:

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Underrated, that's all. Great story and Freddy is badass as never.
The only bad thing is the cgi, a little bit too fake.

Dan's rating:

Here we have my favorite leading role of the whole franchise and also the most creative movie. What ruined it? Unfortunately the end. That 'X-men' thing didn't work at all.

Dan's rating:

Forget about the killer who used to take away your dreams. Now Freddy is just a Joker-Killer but at least we have some fun going out there.
Enjoyable slasher movie, nothing more than that.

Dan's rating:

That's a mess! I can remember just few good scenes and that's all. Bad story and bad acting. The only good thing is: Freddy at least is still badass and not just a joker.

Friday the 13th
Killer: Jason Voorhees

Dan's rating:

Just another Jason's sequel. They don't give a sh* about the plot, they just want to make deaths and more deaths (and of course, earn money).
But we don't have to complain, this one at least is pretty fun.

Dan's rating:

Friday the 13th (2009)
A fun slasher movie but that's all. It seems we'd wait some more blood coming from Jason but the deaths are just 'ok'.

Dan's rating:

Jason X (2001)
A one-hour-an-half-joke. Does this joke seems funny? No, I know.

Sorry, Jason, all your friends had bad ends but you took it to a level no one ever (thanks god) took.
