Here’s a geeky question. Just how long after the original does this film take place? A Nightmare on Elm Street came out in 1984, it’s sequel the next year. However the sequel jumped forward five years, so is this movie set seven years after the original. As such are the Nightmare on Elm Street films actually set, by and large, in the 1990s?

Since the 2nd installment was another success at the box-office, of course, they had to continue with this franchise. Well, this movie is usually considered as one of the best sequels in in this franchise and I have to admit that it seemed to be quite promising. Indeed, they managed to bring back Wes Craven as producer and writer, Frank Darabont also did some writing on this movie, they had a dece... read more

"Probably the best mix of horror and comedy in this series. I had the same problem with this that I had with the first one: I had seen basically the whole film already in clips/YouTube reviews. The practical effects were good in this. The marionette kill was nasty stuff."

Top 10 Movies That I Like But Everyone Else Hates (10 movies items)

"I know I'm not alone in thinking this is easily the best of the Nightmare on Elm Street sequels. But again, for the general public, it seems to get overlooked. It's certainly not scary, but I didn't really expect it to be. It's still a fun movie, though. It definitely plays up Freddy's witty personality more than the first two – and of course, after this, the series started to lean very heavily on comedy – but it still has a good story that respects the original. If they'd ended the series h"

Bml93's Horror Nightmares - October 2017 (17 movies items)

" As far as horror sequels go, Dream Warriors is a lot better than it really should be. This despite me liking it slightly less now than when I saw it the very first time. I think for instance that the film handles Heather Langenkamp's return a bit poorly. The film is a success first and foremost in the way that it handles so many of its other characters and how it gives everyone of them something interesting to do. This is huge thanks to the introduction of dream powers, which in the end is the"

Movie Reviews (351-400) (50 movies items)

" The only good "Nightmare" movie not directed by Wes Craven. Patricia Arquette at her most beautiful. Heather Langenkamp returning to kick some ass together with John Saxon. Good inventive ideas and surrealism. Robert Englund getting the chance to have some fun with the role without becoming too camp. The hilarious cameo from Zsa Zsa Gabor. Dokken's title song. It is the only watchable sequel untill the "kind-of reboot" seventh one. "
