An average movie

Even though I should re-watch ‘Halloween’ at some point, to be honest, I wasn’t exactly blown away by the whole thing. I mean, I respect this movie for the impact it had on the horror genre and I thought it was decent but, in my opinion, it didn't grow old very well. With this in mind, I wasn't expecting much from this 6th sequel and there were basically two things that appeal to me about th... read more

Description: Twenty years after the original HALLOWEEN, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), now the headmistress of a Northern California private school under an assumed name, is still struggling with the terrifying memories of the psychotic killer Michael Myers. That horror becomes a reality once again when Michael returns, embarking on a murderous roadtrip from Illinois to California, killing three more people and stealing a victim's car before threatening the lives of Laurie's rebellious son (Josh Hartnett), his girlfriend (Michelle Williams), and the school security guard (LL Cool J). It's up to Laurie to conquer her internal demons and en ... (more)

" Jamie Lee Curtis return to the franchise for another stint as a "scream queen". A better ensemble cast than usual and stronger production values is a big plus, but Josh Hartnett is terrible in the film. With a better plot and scares the franchise could have gotten a more worthy "ending" than these kinds of slasher movies usually get as the talent involved is better than the script. "

31 Days of Horror (Halloween 2015) (45 movies items)

"OCTOBER 19 Extra: I know I have a Halloween movie already earmarked for the Halloween weekend, but I hadn't seen this movie in so long and I actually enjoyed it more than some of the other Halloween sequels, so I gave it another watch. I still really enjoy it. My biggest complaint is that Michael Meyers isn't as scary in this movie as he was in the first. Granted he's still lurking in shadows and backgrounds, and his face keeps popping up in windows and mirrors, but he doesn't have that stealthy"

31 Days of Horror (Halloween 2016) (47 movies items)

"OCTOBER 24: Halloween: Resurrection was on my planned list, but since it was on the same disc as this one, and I had time, I decided to do them both. I think I like this movie more than I should. It was a clear attempt to make the Halloween franchise relevant to the teen crowd of the day. All you have to do is look at the shows that were popular with the teen crowd to know that this movie fits right in. FAVORITE SCENE: Laurie's decapitation of Michael...or so we thought until Resurrection came "
