Now this is one freaky hilarious film. I love this film because it's so terrible. Jack Nicholson's Andre from France, or as he says "I'm ANN-drey from Fraaance." Goodness his accent is horrible but funny. He plays a French soldier, whom rides on a horse. However in many scenes, the horse changes color..aka different horse hahaha. There's a mute, who can whisper...yea and creepy tombstone/graveyard... read more

Well this movie is an interesting one. It's a dark humor horror movie and probably the most "Poe" one as Vincent Price recites a lot of the poem at the start and one line at the end. It's not one of my favourites, due to it being very slow at the start, but it's not bad overall. I find some of the other dark humor movies funnier too. The funny thing about watching this is seeing how bad Jack Nicho... read more

"3.2. Cormanin versio Poen runosta on omituista perseilyä, jossa korpiksi muutettu Peter Lorre lentää Vincent Pricen ikkunasta sisään ja alkaa vaatia viinaa.

" Horror comedy that unites several horror stars together: Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Peter Lorre and a upcoming star in the genre, Jack Nicholson. We even get horror femme fatale Hazel Court as the bitch that decide to swap sorcerer and bed. This was made during a time when it was possible to do quirky, light-hearted and laid-back stuff that didn't need to be too serious. I like Roger Corman's cliched but always watchable Gothic atmosphere with cold castle walls and costumes that seem to have"
