"Reason for the future sucking: Genetically engineered organic robots, called Replicants, do the grunt work for humans, off world. Thus, they rebel against their "cruel, horrible, human overlords", and who can blame them? Plus, is it just me, or does it rain a lot in Los Angeles, in the future, in this film? "Pros: The visuals of Los Angeles in the future, with it being neon, but still bleak and depressing. Harrison Ford, as Rick Deckard. Sean Young, Rutger Hauer, and Daryl Hannah The music score by Vangelis. It’s a neo noir sci fi detective movie, and a great one too. What does it mean to be human? Oddly enough, I love the narration of the original version, it definitely sets the tone of the movie. Cons: It can be very pretentious and over wrought at times. The difficulty of deciding wh"

" While trying to find a comfortable place to spend the night in Blade Runner, Daryl Hannah's character, Pris, is surprised by a man on the street. She gets up and tries to run away, but slips and runs into a van, jamming her elbow through the glass of the window. Since Pris is a replicant, the blow doesn't impact her at all. Staying in character, Hannah continued with the scene without flinching. When she finally got a chance to examine her elbow, she realized that she tore it up badly enough"
