Ripley: Just tell me one thing, Burke. You're going out there to destroy them, right? Not to study. Not to bring back. But to wipe them out.
Burke: That's the plan. You have my word on it.
Ripley: All right, I'm in.

The only survivor of the Nostromo, Ripley is discovered in deep sleep half a century later by a salvage ship. When she is taken back to Earth, she learns ... read more

I absolutely cherish this film!!!

I can't remember a time in my life where this has let me down. I've watched it close to a thousand times and enjoy it thoroughly everytime.

The introduction of the USCM is one of its crowning achievements. The galaxy's most bad ass hombres to ever sail the cosmos. It is an utter shame though they only debut and star in this film.

In this sequel to the non-plural installment of the series, Ripley, believe it or not, is back, and this time, she arms herself with some big guns & with an even bigger attitude of instead of squaring off against just one alien, she's taking on a whole hive full of them.
And their momma too.
And these aliens in question are the xenomorphs, a hive-race of deadly double-mouthed acid-b... read more

Every bit as good as Alien

“Alien is a sci-fi classic, so when I saw Aliens I was expecting great things. Which is exactly what I got. Aliens I have often seen and heard being described as one of the best sequels ever made, and I have to heartily concur. Aliens is every bit as good as Alien, and just a brilliant film. The production design once again is immaculate with the spectacle surpassing Alien(to me), while the script is credible, the story interesting and well-constructed and James Cameron's direction brilliant. As with Alien, there are also some very genuine shocks and scares, and if there was something I marginally preferred here it was the suspense which was particularly nail-biting. The acting once again is top notch, all the supporting cast do great work but Sigourney Weaver is simply terrific and it help” read more

1001 Movies ... my own version (1980's) (120 movies items)

" Notes: Well, even though many are some huge fans of this movie and would argue that it is superior to its predecessor. to be honest, I have never been completely sold by the damned thing. I mean, every time I watch it, I like it and I'm entertained throughout the whole duration but it never completey blows me away. I have to admit it though, it was visually impressive with a great mood from the beginning until the end and I also enjoyed the way they managed to bring back Ripley to this infecte"
