I’m growing tired of every other direct-to-DVD animated film from DC being about Superman, Batman, or a mash-up of the two of them. Granted, they’re the tent pole heroes of that particular comic publishing powerhouse, but can’t we spread the wealth around a little bit more? En el cómic se siente más el peso en los hombros de Superman, y su trayecto y legado a lo largo de sus aventuras hacen que la obra tenga más tensión. En la película todo esto se siente, pero no a la misma medida. Además de que la noviecita de Superman es una psicótica, y no entiendo porqué un Dios se enamoró de semejante cosa.

"Que interesante es ver a un Superman preocupado por su muerte, y que se vea humanizado por esta, concluyendo su relación con Lois y su enemistad con Luthor, pero además también dejando atrás a Krypton y todo lo que tenía pendiente solo para ir al sol en su último acto heroico. Yo siempre pensé que el sol le hacía bien a Superman y de hecho es asi, pero no de tan cerca pues prácticamente le da cáncer eso es algo remarcar en esta historia. Algo a notar y tomar en cuenta en esta película"

"Much like "What's so Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way?", All-Star Superman was an excellent read, but I had to go with the animated adaptation because of its streamlined narrative, excellent animation and amazing performances.
