"Re-watch - Dec. 20th The upside of this sequel is that it fleshes out Riddick's world better. It also kinda muddies things, as the first film regularly referenced brand names from Earth, some of which pop up again here, and yet nobody seems to mention Earth by name and none of the worlds visited include ours. And it suggests that Riddick has never been to Earth, despite him knowing brands from it...the more I thought about this the more I wanted something more definitive as to how Earth relates"

"2014/04/08 first viewing @home on DVD with Kendra Interesting and enjoyable. It got a bit silly at parts and some was clichéd. It was not as good as Pitch Black. It was good to see a strong female co-lead who was not used as a sexual toy. Anyhow, will probably catch Riddick at some point just to see where it goes. "
