Impressive gothic action film.
The Crow is a film I approached because of its cult following and massive popularity.
I had also heard of the tragic story regarding actor Brandon Lee during filming. For those of you who don't know said story, Lee tragically passed away before filming concluded. While a scene was being filmed a prop gun fired a live round into the actor,... read more

" Based on the comic book series, by James O’Bsrr, Brandon Lee plays Eric Draven, a musician who plans on getting engaged to his girlfriend, Shelly. However, the dreams are cut short when brutal thugs kill him and his fiancee, and Eric comes back for vengeance, for him And his wife. Sadly, due to a on set accident, Brandon Lee’s life and career were tragically cut short. The film became a sleeper and cult classic hit, and critics felt that The Crow was a great movie. The movie itself, was"
"Plot: A revenant walks the streets of Detroit, looking for vengeance under the guidance of an otherwordly crow. Thought not strictly horror, The Crow is rife with shades of the supernatural, visual odes to German expressionism, and an unshakably bleak tone that make it feel right at home for any lover of the genre. A fairly loyal adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name, it not only serves as an early example of a good comic adaptation but also an iconic 90's film whose style has been "

the best Gothic comic book movie ever made
“This movie is fantastic. plain and simple. Brandon Lee delivers his lines to the point they were instantly memorable after seeing the film only once. The casting of both Michael Wincott and Tony Todd was inspired as these two guys have two of the most instantly recognisable voices in the movie industry. If i could ever be a movie or a lead in a film this would be it. I was initially put off the idea of the movie as i am a big fan of the graphic novel and there was an awful lot of hype around this film on its release. this proved to be my loss as i have only seen the film on the small screen. however i now have the 2 disc special edition DVD and watched it 3 times in succession the day i bought it and must have watched it at least 100 times since. my own personal opinion is that a movie sho” read more
"Day 19 - Favorite movie based on a book/comic/etc. I went with more of the based on comic book/graphic novel. This movie was huge when it came out, the notoriety around Brandon Lee's death, the soundtrack, everything. A signature 90's film."
