Closes the Cornetto trilogy with laughs and heart

"This time, we're going to see this through to the bitter end! Or lager end..."

In the interim since Hot Fuzz in 2007, Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have moved onto bigger things: Wright dabbled in Hollywood moviemaking with Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, while Pegg and Frost starred in Paul, as well as a host of other American projects. It's exciting to see the guys reuniti... read more

After their critically acclaimed comedy hits Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz, Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg present The World’s End - the ‘green-mint flavoured’ finale in their uniquely creative Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy. Since its inception, the series has been recognised for its innovative twist on parodying specific genres. Judging from trailers and still images, The World’s End seem... read more

A good movie

Since this movie was the last part of Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, of course, I was really eager to check it out. In fact, even though ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’ immediately became some cult-classics, this movie didn’t actually make much waves, maybe  because it was released 6 long years after its predecessor. Well, anyway, even though it turned out to be fu... read more

The future kind of sucks. (423 movies items)

"Reason why the future sucks: Aliens are about to destroy our planet, so we might as well get boozed up, first. “To alcohol, the cause and problem of all of life’s solutions.” Year it takes place: 2013ish"

My Top 199 Favorite Sci-Fi Movies... Of Like, Ever (199 movies items)

" The closing chapter to the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy. And to be quite honest, when I first heard that this was the name given to this three film set, my first thought was "What the hell is a 'cornetto?'". So, utilizing the power at my fingertips, I googled it. Turns out that cornetto is either a 16th century woodwind instrument or a brand of ice cream. To which, with the bullet quick speed of my wit, I instantly realized that it was probably being used in refe"

Slant's 100 Best Sci-Fi Movies of All Time (100 movies items)

"Edgar Wright wrapped up his Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy with The World’s End, a rollicking alien-invasion ode to boozing up and moving on that bests even Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz in its comingling of hilarious buddy humor, aesthetically electric action, and genre shout-outsmanship. The story of a group of high school friends reunited to complete a famed pub crawl at the behest of their once-great, now-pitiful leader (Simon Pegg), only to find that their sleepy rural England hometown "
