There was a short-lived TV show called Tequila and Bonnetti,
which appeared to be a ripoff of Turner and Hooch.

The Hunger Games (2012)
Intentional or not, the basic idea of the Hunger Games is remarkably similar to the Japanese film Battle Royale. It has even been said that it is similar to Star Wars, but I don't know about that.

The recycling apparently goes back even further. There was an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie called the Running Man, which was based on a Stephen King novel. Battle Royale did remind me of the Running Man when I watched it.

You Only Live Twice (1967)
You knew that there would be at least one Bond movie on this list. It is a ChihuahuaDaddy list, of course.
The basic plot idea - a private superpower tries to start a war and James Bond tries to prevent it - was first used in You Only Live Twice. It was used again in the Spy Who Loved Me and Tomorrow Never Dies, yet never quite recapturing the magic of the first time. While the villain Drax in Moonraker does not plan to start a war, the idea of creating a worldwide disaster followed by creating a new world is the same. There is a good chance that the same formula will be used again in the future.

Moonraker (1979)
While Moonraker itself has recycled plot elements from You Only Live Twice and the Spy Who Loved Me, the villain's plot in Machete Kills is almost the same as in Moonraker.

Friends (1994)
Along with being the most overrated TV show of all time. It seems to also be the most recycled TV show of all time. The influence can be seen in shows ranging from New Girl to the more recent seasons of the Big Bang Theory.
Of course, maybe I'm just batshit insane. I am crazy and my mother did have me tested.

It is inevitable that there will be movies and TV shows that recycle plots, even from their own franchise.
