Hallowe'en is right around the corner, and I wanted to get this one out ASAP! For those who haven't checked out my previous editions to these series of poll lists, this is a pet project I'm working on. A series of genre-theme lists that are reader interactive. Keep reading to understand how to participate.
THE RULES:
Each participant gets to list 10 movies, your #1 getting 10 points, while your #10 gets 1 point, you get the idea...
There are no limits to how many times you can participate. You can vote 50, 100, or 10,000 times for all I care. The traffic on the list is all that I'm after. You can also vote for the same film multiple times--not at once though--but say, you chose to play 10 times, there is no rule against picking the same movie for your #1 every time.
THE SPECIFICATIONS:
The genre/theme for this list is horror. But more specifically, what are the most 'Scariest' films you've ever sat through? It doesn't necessarily need to be a slasher movie or feature any ghosts, ghouls, werewolves or vampires at all. What I'm after is specifically which 10 films got your heart racing the fastest.
Which film, or films, had you looking over your shoulder, under your bed, giving you restless nights?... Doesn't necessarily need to include 'jump scares', sometimes imagery alone can leave a permanent mental scar for generations.
THE REASONS:
My reasons for making this list are simple:
1) I have no life...
2) It gives me great ideas for movie night, what to watch, that I hopefully haven't seen yet. For whatever I'm in the mood for.
Also, it gives Listal members a chance to voice an opinion. And my reasons for allowing readers to vote multiple times are because I personally feel that a one vote per reader limit has a 'limiting effect' to accurately assess popular demand. Plus, based on experience, I've found that in the past whenever I do that, I get traffic on a list for a few weeks, and then... ???...
