AFI releases these little specialty lists all the time, it used to be done annually each year. But almost everyone argues over the choices they select. I decided to release a series of these theme lists and make them fan-interactive. This is the first one, pertaining to 'romance' in cinema. This is not a very popular theme among cinephiles, most are commonly embarrassed to even acknowledge what they like if they do like something. However, that poses a curiosity:
Why should this be? Is not 'intimacy' a major component of that which makes us human?
THE RULES:
You can choose any 10 films in the romance genre, #1 gets 10 points while #10 gets 1 point. There is no ban on how many times you may play, readers can vote as many times as they want. Just don't pick the same move 10 times at once--that doesn't make any sense.
Readers please be patient with me as I am a busy person, all votes will get added, just give me time to keep up.
THE SPECIFICATIONS:
The theme of this list pertains specifically to romance, what is your favorite love story? I will create another theme list for 'tear-jerkers' later on. Leniency will be granted for picks that just have to do with sex. As long as there's a story to it--no 'art-house porn' please?
THE REASONS:
My reasons for making this list, and the ones yet to follow is, simple--
First, a) I have no life, and b) it's a great way to get ideas for 'Movie Night'. This way, I have options for whatever I'm in the mood for.
