Since this movie had a rather bad reputation, I wasn't expecting much from the damned thing. Well, probably because I had some rather low expectations, I thought it was not so bad at all after all. To be honest, it’s a shame that they still tried to get the smallest budget possible and, as a result, the whole thing still looked really cheesy. Furthermore, the whole thing felt long and slow when ... read more

Description: Following Kirk's encounter with Khan that left the Enterprise severely damaged and Spock dead, they return to Starfleet so that Enterprise could be repaired. Kirk's hoping to go back to the newly-created Genesis planet where he laid Spock to rest. But upon arriving, he is told that the Enterprise will not be repaired and that Genesis has become a delicate matter and until it is resolved, no one is allowed to go there or talk about it. McCoy is also acting strangely and is later detained when he starts talking about Genesis. Kirk is visited by Spock's father Sarek, who tells him that he betrayed Spock because being placed on Gene ... (more)

30 From 84: My Favorite Films Of 1984 (30 movies items)

"  Despite his penchant for telling others to "Live long and prosper", it turns out that Mr. Spoc k doesn't live as long or prosper as much as anyone expected. But after the success of the second Star Trek movie, there was no way in Klingon's star quadrant that producers were gonna let the Enterprise's commander and Captain Kirk's confidant stay dead for too long. And to make sure that the movie fans who flocked to the theaters the second time understood that, they put it right there in the film'"

My Top 199 Favorite Sci-Fi Movies... Of Like, Ever (199 movies items)

" Despite his penchant for telling others to "Live long and prosper", it turns out that Mr. Spock doesn't live as long or prosper as much as anyone expected. But there was no way in a Klingon's Star quadrant that this franchise was gonna let the Enterprise's resident just fizzle away. Heck, it's right there in the mocie's title... The fact that this third Star Trek movie was named "The Search For Spock" made it clear that in some manner that could only be explained through the science of the 23r"

"Gostei desse também, apesar de ser mais fraco que o segundo, é uma sequência direta do outro filme, só é difícil de engolir a trama do Katra dos vulcanos, fora isso é muito bom."
