"Pros: Ricardo Montalban as Khan. The effects, is considerably better than the first film. James Horner’s music score. The ending. I still gets me even years later. It’s one of the best films, in the original film series. It’s a decently very tense film, at times."

“Having been one of the shows that was part of my childhood and growing up, the original 'Star Trek' still holds up as great and ground-breaking, even if not perfect.
'Star Trek: The Motion Picture', to me, is a better film than its reputation but was also a disappointment and could have been much better. Every film franchise has to start somewhere, and 'The Motion Picture' paved the way to better films. Of which the second film 'The Wrath of Khan' is among the best, a strong contender for the best. Much appreciated its darker tone, emotional wallop and that it was much better paced and action-oriented than 'The Motion Picture'.

"Re-watch - Dec. 26th I wanted my daughter to see this film, & when I first brought it up to her she replied with, "but I haven't seen the first one." I assured her that wouldn't matter, which is largely true. The film fills in enough backstory that it works on its own, & it made me miss the days when that was the norm instead of now where most franchises require you to remember even the smallest details from previous films. She seemed a little bored with it at times though, so I'm unsure how mu"
