I already saw this movie but since it was a while back and since I have it on DVD, I thought I might as well check it out again. Since it is considered one of the best Star Trek movies, the first time around, I had some rather high expectations. Well, to be honest, I was at the time actually slightly disappointed. I mean, sure, the story was indeed better than with its predessor, the acting was al... read more

Description: Admiral Kirk is now a Starfleet Academy instructor and Captain Spock serves as a cadet training officer, while being in command of the USS Enterprise. Meanwhile, scientists aboard Space Station Regula I are conducting the Project Genesis experiment, and the USS Reliant is assigned to the Genesis project. While surveying a lifeless planet in the Ceti Alpha star system, Commander Chekov and Captain Clark Terrell beam down to the sixth planet, and find a shocking discovery, in which cargo containers are located. Unknown to the Reliant crew was that the cargo containers housed refugees from the Eugenics Wars of 1990s Earth, with Kha ... (more)

My Top 10 Superior Sequels (10 movies items)

"This is an unusual case, because The Wrath of Khan is not a sequel to the first Star Trek movie, but rather the episode Space Seed from the original TV series. It involves Khan out for revenge on Captain Kirk for his long-ago actions in that episode. It's one of the best tales of revenge ever told, rich in extremely quotable lines and themes of old age and obsession. It's basically Moby Dick in space. I don't think anyone denies that this movie is far superior to Star Trek: The Motion Picture, b"

Movie Reviews (451-500) (50 movies items)

" The most intense (and best) of the entire film series with the original crew topped with an unforgettable "duel to the death" sequence where starships are stand-ins for uboats. Excellent effects, music and dramatic dialogue help enormously to make this a great adventure as Ricardo Montalban's Khan is the ultimate bad guy to William Shatner's Kirk. At the time the ending was a major shocker too. "
