Killer Props: Movies and shows with the best stuff

Sort by: Showing 28 items
Decade: Rating: List Type:
People who added this item 4613 Average listal rating (3110 ratings) 8.1 IMDB Rating 8.1
Blade Runner (1982)
Deckard's PKD Blaster

Supposedly a marriage between a Steyr rifle and a Charter arms revolver, this gun is a beautiful creation, and one of the best props ever made.

Gaff's Sky Car

I think the official title of this vehicle is a spinner. But really it's a flying car. Need I say more?
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 3459 Average listal rating (2451 ratings) 7.9 IMDB Rating 8.4
Aliens (1986) (1986)
The props designed for the movie Aliens are amazing. It helped pull you into the world, and set it apart from other movies.

M41A Pulse Rifle

M56 Smart Gun

M240 Flamethrower

Motion Tracker

HK VP-70 Pistol

S&W Model 39

Both the HK VP-70 and S&W Model 39 are real pistols. The HK VP-70 is considered the first polymer frame pistol (in 1970, long before Glock). The S&W Model 39 has been around a long time, and was used in Vietnam by the US military in concert with a silencer for special operations.

Colonial Marines Carrier Sulaco

Colonial Marines Dropship

Colonial Marines APC

The most badass APC of all time. I still want one.

Alien (1979)
Jupiter Mining Vessel Nostromo

It has a lot of dark hallways

and an escape vessel

The movie begins with a long scene showing the vessel from the outside first, and then the inside. This was a very good ship prop, and the set inside matched the industrial look of the ship on the outside.

Pistol
Kane had one of these in his hand when he was exploring the mysterious derelict ship. I wondered why they never tried using it on the alien.

You can also see a couple of cattle prods on the table as well

Face Hugger
It's like a spider+crab+all of your nightmares involving smothering.

Flame Thrower
One of my favorite movie weapon props. Flame throwers are actually very dangerous weapons to the user, and extremely dangerous weapons to have aboard a space vessel. But it looked real cool, and that's all that counts.

Harpoon Gun
Ripley would use anything to kill an alien. Including this harpoon gun.

Ash

Alien

It really doesn't get much scarier than this. It rips out of your fucking body, and grows to full size in less than twelve hours.
Joseph Grey's rating:
BlasTech DL-44 Blaster Pistol

This is a modified C96 Mauser pistol. Once again, Harrison Ford rocks an awesome prop.

Imperial TIE Interceptor

This fast maneuverable fighter is an improvement on the TIE Fighter.
Joseph Grey's rating:
Lighstsaber

What human being doesn't wish they could have a lightsaber? If these things were real, there would be a huge jump in detached limbs worldwide.
Joseph Grey's rating:
X-Wing Fighter

This iconic rebel fighter is one of the coolest space fighters ever made. It looks industrial, yet elegant. It also kicks ass, and is one of my favorite props in any movie.

Imperial TIE Fighter

Imperial Advanced TIE Fighter

The iconic fighter of the enemy. Gray and without markings, these round cockpit fighters made a sinister 'whoosh' as they screamed through space.
Joseph Grey's rating:
AT-AT Walker

Who doesn't remember the Invasion of Hoth with the massive, slow moving AT-AT walkers? Seeing these for the first time made me fear the wrath of the Empire! Such amazing vehicles, and one of the greatest scenes in movie history.

BlasTech E-11 Blaster Rifle

This is the preferred weapon of the Imperial Army, and is seen all over the Star Wars universe. Modified from a Sterling L2A3 submachine gun, this gun was used throughout the Star Wars Trilogy.
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 1184 Average listal rating (900 ratings) 7.4 IMDB Rating 8.3
Star Trek (1966)
Star Trek was a great show with really wonderful props. All the props used in the subsequent shows were based off those used in the original show.

Communicator

Phaser

NCC-1701 Enterprise A-D

Whatever the version or era, the Enterprise is the iconic ship of the Federation and the Star Trek universe.
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 716 Average listal rating (528 ratings) 7 IMDB Rating 7.9
Bat'leth

This badass melee weapon was the preferred weapon of duels and personal vendettas. Throughout the 80's and 90's Star Trek shows, it was shown to be a Klingon's most prized possession, aside from his personal honor.

D'k Tahg

Otherwise known as a knife, this weapon is hard to pronounce, but seems to be a preferred weapon among Klingons for settling personal disputes. There are other knives that the Klingons use, but this one is the most iconic.

Joseph Grey's rating:
Klingon Disruptor
There were multiple versions of this weapon, as it seems to change over time. The overall shape is of an elongated pistol.

Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 2596 Average listal rating (1879 ratings) 7.3 IMDB Rating 7.8
Predator (1987)
Predator shoulder mounted blaster system

Forearm mounted blades

I understand this picture I found isn't from the original movie, but this at least puts the point across of how deadly these blades are.

GE M134 Minigun

Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 2424 Average listal rating (1675 ratings) 7.1 IMDB Rating 7.5
Total Recall (1990)
Gonzc GA-9

Calico M950

The Goncz GA-9 and the Calico 950 are real weapons, with slight cosmetic modifications for the movie.

SWD/Cobray Street Sweeper

This is not a real weapon, and has been pieced together to copy the designs of auto-shotguns such as the Pancor Jackhammer.
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 2757 Average listal rating (1870 ratings) 6.9 IMDB Rating 7.6
Auto9 (Beretta 93R)

This was one of the coolest things about the movie to me when I watched this as a kid. I wanted one of these so bad. Of course, no real gun has unlimited ammo like they do in the movies. This is a heavily modified Beretta 93R automatic pistol. Modified 93R's are also used in other sci-fi movies, like Equilibrium, and Underworld.

Cobra Assault Canon (Barrett M82)

ED-209 Assualt Robot
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 2161 Average listal rating (1570 ratings) 6.7 IMDB Rating 7.3
Director Paul Verhoven is well represented in this list, as this is the third one of his movies making it to this list. I wish I could show you the ships as well, but those pictures are harder to acquire.

Morita MK rifle

One cool aspect of this rifle is that it comes with an underslung shotgun. Rico uses the shotgun to fend off a wounded bug.

Morita MK Carbine

MK55 Rocket Launcher (Nuclear)

MX-90 Hand Grenade

Warning: Do not ever use your teeth to remove the pin of a grenade, unless your name is Dizzy.
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 1421 Average listal rating (944 ratings) 6.9 IMDB Rating 7.1
Highlander (1986)
What person doesn't like swords? Axe enthusiasts, maybe. Highlander had duels, be-headings, cool lightning, and beautiful swords.

Kurgen's broadsword

MacLeod family sword

Ramirez's katana

Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 7525 Average listal rating (5483 ratings) 7.8 IMDB Rating 8.5
Doc's Time Travel Machine (Delorean)

Who doesn't remember the Delorean from Back to the Future? I wanted a car just like this as a kid. Of course, I also wanted the time circuits and fusion reactor installed as well. An iconic prop, and one of the best vehicle props of all time.
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 5455 Average listal rating (3817 ratings) 7.4 IMDB Rating 8.1
The T-800

What's more potentially destructive than the Terminator itself? A thinking weapon, it has a flexible alloy body, and merciless red eyes.

HK: Hunter Killer
HK Tank

HK Flyer

Valmet M82A

The Valmet rifle is a modified Finnish Valmet M82 Assault rifle. In 2029, they appear to fire plasma, and have viewscreens attached.

General Dynamics RSB-80 plasma gun

A Terminator infiltrates a resistance camp and uses this weapon.

HK G3A3

This is weapon number 2 used by the Terran Resistance. It's a 20th century German assault rifle.

AMT Hardballer Longslide

The Terminator procured this weapon in 1984 to dispatch Sarah Conner. She was almost killed with this weapon, before being rescued by Kyle Reese.

IMI Uzi

The Uzi is one of the most common movie prop SMGs. It's an Isreali weapon with a good reputation for reliability.

Franchi Spas-12

The Terminator procures this shotgun from the gun store owner in 1984. Unfortunately for the shopkeeper, he finds out too late about the Terminator's less than perfect credit.

Ithaca 37

Kyle Reese steals this shotgun from a police car, and uses it to save Sarah Conner from the Terminator in the 80's nightclub.

Armalite AR-18
This is one of The Terminator's last weapons left in his arsenal as he chases down Sarah Conner

Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 1956 Average listal rating (1273 ratings) 7.5 IMDB Rating 7.8
Serenity (2005)
Mal's Pistol

Easily one of the most memorable and interesting gun props, Mal's handgun is a heavily modified revolver. It looks like it's from the past and the future at the same time.

Mal's Rifle

Zoe's Shogtun (Winchester 1897)

Zoe's Lever Action Sidearm (Winchester Model 92)

This weapon is also known as a "Mare's Leg." Zoe's appears to be fitted with a small scope.

Jayne's Assault Gun

Here's a picture showing Mal and Jayne with their weapons.

Jayne's SMG (HK-MP5)

Jayne's SMG/Pistol (HK-MP5K)

Jayne's Pistol (Colt 1911)

River got more use out of Jayne's sidearm than he did. It's a Colt 1911 with some cool additions to the frame.

Miscellaneous Pistol

River uses this gun in the midst of kicking ass in the bar.
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 884 Average listal rating (683 ratings) 6 IMDB Rating 6.9
Knight Rider (1982)
Kitt Car

Every kid in the 80's wanted one of these. It talks, taunts, has an ejection seat, goes 300mph. It also has those cool red lights, reminiscent of Cylons from the original Battlestar Galactica.
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 1212 Average listal rating (859 ratings) 5.1 IMDB Rating 5.6
Judge Dredd (1995)
Lawgiver II

Security forces rifle

Shotgun plus miscellaneous guns

Torture Arm

Lawmaster
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 5048 Average listal rating (3594 ratings) 7.3 IMDB Rating 7.7
Zorg ZF-1

It does pretty much everything you would want a bad-ass gun to do. Rockets, bullets, flame, and a built in memory function.

ZF-140 Assault Gun

Not really sure what this gun can do, since the robber never had a chance to use it.

Pistol

Not sure whether this is a military or civilian weapon, but many characters use it throughout the course of the movie.

Police and Security Carbine

Used by the cops in New York, and security on Phloston Paradise.

Mangalore Rifle

Mangalore Pistol

Mauser M712

Flying Cars

I never get tired of flying cars. Who does?

Alien Spacecraft

The wise and ancient aliens flew this spacecraft when they picked up the stones and the fifth element from earth.
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 1568 Average listal rating (1004 ratings) 7.6 IMDB Rating 7.7
Smith & Wesson Model 29 .44 Magnum Revolver
This is the handgun used by Harry Callahan throughout the movie. He uses a long barreled version, which helps accuracy, and reduces recoil.

It truly is a powerful handgun. While not being the 'most powerful handgun in the world,' it'll certainly blow someone's head 'clean off.'
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 1640 Average listal rating (1104 ratings) 7.8 IMDB Rating 8.7
BSG Colonial Military Pistol
Used in the 2004 miniseries, and the first season, these handguns were modified from a revolver, and had two barrels.

BSG Colonial Military Pistol-Version 2
This is the second version of the Colonial pistol that replaced the one from the first season. It is a FN Five-Seven with an attached second barrel, which houses an explosive projectile.

Vektor CP1
This South African handgun has been used in multiple sci-fi movies and television series. It has a unique look, which makes it ideal as a prop.

HK MP7A1
This Sub-machine gun was used by military and civilian resistance fighters.

HK UMP
This SMG was used by Anders and some security forces.

You'll notice Kara Thrace has some weapons of her own. She is holding two Sa. Vz.61 Scorpion automatic pistols.

Beretta CX4 Storm
These carbines are used by the Colonial Marines as well as some other BSG personnel for most of the series.

Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 3967 Average listal rating (2712 ratings) 6.8 IMDB Rating 7
Holy Shotgun
Constantine's Holy Shotgun looks completely customized. It has a nice rotary magazine, holy ammunition, and it looks really shiny. I wish I could tell you more about the weapon, but you should really see it in action by watching the movie.

Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 2255 Average listal rating (1508 ratings) 6.2 IMDB Rating 6.7
Blade II (2002)
Blade's Blade

Here's Blade, on his bike, with his sword from the first movie.

Blade's Pistol

Blade uses this pistol against the horde of infected vampire mutants. It's a HK USP with a target barrel, and an attachment to the front. There's also a light under the barrel.

Blade's SMG

Blade uses this SMG to take out some vampires. It's a Mac-10 with a heavily rebuilt front end.

Reinhardt's Bladed Pistol

I'm not sure what the official title of this gun is, but it's a Beretta 92-FS with a laser sight, extended barrel, and a curved sharp blade attached to it. Mean looking gun.

Reinhardt's Shotgun

Reinhardt has a light attached to this Remington 870 Marine shotgun. It also has what look like short stakes attached to it, perhaps to double as a melee weapon, much like his pistols.

Nyssa's Skorpions

Nyssa actually has two SA Vz. 61 Skorpion SMGs. Other than a couple of attached lights, they look unmodified.

Chupa's Desert Eagle

Chupa is all too happy to point his IMI Desert Eagle at Blade. The Desert Eagle is a favorite among prop masters for it's size. It shows up really well on the screen.

Asad's M-16

Asad has an M-16 with a grenade launcher attachment. Chupa also has an M-16, with a flashlight attached, and a high capacity magazine.

Snowman's Gear

Snowman seems to be wearing a variant of Japanese Samurai armor on his chest, and wielding a katana and wakizashi.
Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 1127 Average listal rating (744 ratings) 5.4 IMDB Rating 5.9
The 6th Day (2000)
Foosh Gun
Don't ask me why this was called the 'foosh' gun, but that's the prop title. It's a laser gun, used by a few characters in The 6th Day. I liked it the first time I saw it, and I hope it shows up somewhere in a different movie.

Helicopter
Schwarzenneger's character is a pilot, and he gets to fly this awesome futuristic helicopter.

Joseph Grey's rating:
People who added this item 1411 Average listal rating (961 ratings) 6.5 IMDB Rating 6.9
Conan's Sword
Conan found this sword in the tomb of a king. And it got plenty of use.

Joseph Grey's rating:
Colt 1851 Navy
Blondie uses this revolver for most of the movie. The grips on his gun have been customized, and have an image of a snake on the handle.

Colt 1851 Navy
Tuco uses a similar model revolver, which he meticulously pieced together from different revolvers in a gun store.

Remington 1858 New Army
Angel Eyes uses this revolver, a Remington percussion cap revolver.

Winchester 1866 "Yellow Boy"
There is a folding scope on the side of the rifle. It is mocked up to resemble an 1860 Henry rifle.
