Since I’m a huge fan of Meryl Streep, I was really eager to check this flick. First of all, when you read the plot, it does sound a little bit like the material they would use for a real-life TV feature but the execution was quite impressive. Based on the true story of Karen Silkwood, a rank-and-file worker at an Oklahoma plutonium factory, who was accidentally exposed to a lethal dose of radiation. Historically, the company downplayed employee's complaints about radiation sickness, much to Karen's frustration. Her own ordeal made Karen an activist. She was about to go public with evidence of dangerous conditions at the plant when she died in a mysterious car accident.
