Even though the reviews were pretty poor concerning this flick, since it was directed by John Carpenter, I thought I should check it out anyway. Unfortunately, I would have to agree with the reviews as it is, in my opinion, the worst movie directed by Carpenter in his otherwise illustrious career. A lot of people diss on Ghosts of Mars. Yes, it is a lesser Carpenter, but even a lesser Carpenter is better than a lot of other movies out there of the same ilk. The movie moves at a brisk clip, Nasthasha Henstridge is a reasonable lead and any movie with Pam Grier is usually worth a look.

It's far from being John Carpenter's best movies and it's probably one of his weaker efforts, but it's still entertaining.
