Stupid, jokey, forgettable creature feature
Lake Placid is a stupid, jokey, abjectly forgettable member of the creature feature horror subgenre. Directed by Steve Miner (Halloween H20) and written by David E. "Black Lake, Maine A lake, in beautiful, picturesque Maine. Perfectly quiet, and peaceful. Why you wouldn’t want to visit: A not-so-serene lake with a huge problem. It’s a beloved nesting ground for giant crocodiles."

" Directed by: Steve Miner Produced by: Peter Bogart, David E. Kelley, and Michael Pressman Written by: David E. Kelley Cinematography: Daryn Okada Edited by: Marshall Harvey and Paul Hirsch Music by: John Ottman Distributed by: 20th Century Fox"

"A gloriously entertaining horror comedy with Bill Pullman, Bridget Fonda, Oliver Platt and Brendan Gleeson as a mismatched group hunting for a giant crocodile who is eating his way through Lake Placid. The film's strength lies in the banter of the four leads while the horror is in the same vein as Jaws. while it's not a patch on Spielberg's 1975 shark thriller, this has plenty to enjoy and no matter how silly it gets, the cast keeps it refreshingly fun."

" CONNECTION TO ABOVE: Oliver PlattCONNECTION TO BELOW: TBDI voluntarily broke the chain on 3/17/2017. Given that it was St. Patrick's Day, I wanted to watch Leprechaun, but there was no way to connect it to Lake Placid. "

""You'll never know what bit you." "Part Mystery. Part Thriller. Parts Missing.""
