I remember, when this movie was released, there was not so much buzz about it but I still ended up watching it with my two of my buddies in the theater. It took me a second viewing to really appreciate this film. The concept and visually unsettling look into a future world set in a dated period is exceptionally engaging. Definitely worth a look.

Dark City is a great link between noir and science fiction that it’s all played on a beautifully gloomy atmosphere, made of an enchanting cinematography and impressive scenes. Plus, it disorients who's watching and digs on humanity feelings. "Para el momento en que la vi, sabía de su comparación con Matrix. Pero no he visto Matrix hasta el momento en que la vi, debido a que quería ver esta película que salió antes que Matrix para luego poder ver Matrix y decir que Dark City es la verdadera película de Matrix.
