A very good movie

Back in the 90's, I was a huge fan of Abel Ferrara so I was really eager to check this movie out. Unfortunately, Ferrara doesn't really make very good movies anymore... But this one is definitely worth a look! First of all, there was an impressive cast (Christoher Walken, Benicio del Toro, Chris Penn, Annabella Sciorra, Isabella Rossellini, Vincent Gallo, Gretchen Mol) and the directing was rather... read more

"Once you pull the trigger there's no turning back." Free on demmand, great cast, and it has gangsters. I'm there! The movie starts off really slow, and slowly builds to almost a great climax, but not a huge climax. The movie had a lot of flaws, and I think it should have been longer, then an hour and fourty minutes. It had a lot of potentional. Everything was just very hard to follow, they(the wr... read more

"Si hay que medir las películas sobre mafiosos sería así: El Padrino es el retrato idealista de la mafia por excelencia; Buenos Muchachos muestra un punto medio con el extasis del mafioso (ascenso y descenso); y El Funeral es quizás la antitesis de la mafia por demasía. Todos y cada uno de los personajes son patéticos y no están para nada glorificados ni son para nada masculinos en sus acciones como las demás de su tipo. Pero eso no quiere decir que sean unánimemente odiosos como si todo"

30 From 96: My Favorite Films From 1996 (30 movies items)

"Ever since The Godfather, it seems like mafia families just don't get it. Living "the life" means "la familia" of the mob gets priority over the family of your blood. And making the life of "la familia" a family bizaness usually translates into the idea that the family that shoots together, dies together. Next thing you know, whenever a big event that involves the relatives comes along, you won't be able to tell whether you're at a family reunion or at a family funeral. "
