I watched just one film today, it was a first time viewing.
Pan's Labyrinth (2006)
I had no idea it was actually that weird but I really enjoyed it, even though it was so violent (also a surprise). It had such an original, brilliant story as well as a villain that absolutely repulsed me. That bastard would not die! Loved it.

2 films, one was a first time viewing.
I've only rated it so high because it obviously did what it set out to do, I didn't like it because it was scary (absolutely terrifying), but it was trying to be scary, so if it succeeded then that's a good thing, right?

SHIT SCARY, the scariest film I've ever seen, which isn't saying much but... Daniel Radcliffe was very good, in a role that most people didn't think would work for him. But since I was hiding under my coat for literally half of it, I didn't actually catch much of the whole thing...
It should be rated higher! Urgh! In the UK it's a 12A, which I believe is our equivalent of a PG-13.
Surprisingly, it was much less scary the second time around, or maybe that was obvious...

I watched just one film today, a first time viewing.
Death Defying Acts (2008)
This is a good film, not a fantastic film, but a good one. The cast is fantastic, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Saoirse Ronan, (the Sex God who got shirtless a lot in this film) Guy Pearce, and Timothy Spall.

It had a good story and good performances. I didn't love it, but it's good.

I watched one film today, another first time viewing!
Keeping Mum (2005)
Tounge-in-cheek and hilarious, this is a fantastic comedy film! :) What an AMAZING cast! Rowan Atkinson, Kristin Scott Thomas, Maggie Smith, Tamsin Egerton and Patrick Swayze, as well as Liz Smith, an utter treasure of British comedy TV!

Great laughs, characters, story and twist, I Strongly recommend it :)

2 first time viewings today.
This film was not necessary. The Mummy and The Mummy Returns were fab! Then they ruin it with this... Bitches. Who the fuck associates "Mummies" with China?

Also, wouldn't you take the fact that Rachel Weisz didn't return to the role of Evelyn reason enough to stop the whole sorry affair?!? Maria Bello?!? Her British accent was dreadful and insulting.
Oh well... at least Brendan Fraser got shirtless. Yum.

Tormented (2009)
I loved this, more people need to watch this! Funny, sexy, gorey, it had it all. There was so much nudity... Alex Pettyfer got his bum out! As did Tom Hopper.

I just loved it! :D

Firstly, let me say I can not believe it's been so long since I watched a film. A first time viewing today.
The Crucible (1996)
I love the play, I've never seen it but we read it in my English class and I really enjoyed it! This, although not quite as good, was my first visual representation of the play so I was very focused on the story and I enjoyed this.

Great cast, the best performances were from Daniel Day-Lewis, Joan Allen and Winona Ryder.

A first time viewing today.
Copycat (1995)
I liked this way more than expected. The story was very well written. The performances were amazing! Especially from Sigourney Weaver. Holly Hunter was amazing too, it was kind of weird seeing her in a live action movie, I only know her from The Incredibles, A Disney Pixar animation. She's fab though!

A film I have seen umpteen times and two new first time viewings.
The second-worst of the series, after Chamber of Secrets. But still, I love it because I love the whole series. Daniel Radcliffe's acting progresses as the film does LOL, at the beginning he's shit!

If you haven't seen it, you clearly are not alive.

The Taming of the Shrew (1967)
Hhmmm... Dunno what to say.
I've never seen or read the Shakespeare play but I knew kind of what it was about. Only it wasn't as I expected at all... It was hilarious and Elizabeth Taylor was absolutely fantastic but I didn't get it at all!

I absolutely loved this! It's just my kind of thing! Bit weird, like. But awesome all the same!

LOVED IT. It had an absolutely amazing cast, including:
Martin Freeman, Alan Rickman (voice only), Zooey Deschanel, Sam Rockwell, Sam Rockwell's bulge LOL joke, but no joke, he's got some serious junk! LOOK:

A first time viewing today.
Thirteen (2003)
Similarly to Copycat, it was strange seeing Holly Hunter in a live-action role after only knowing her from The Incredibles. Especially since the filming/recording of that movie probably took place at the same time and even more so that she gets naked, completely! :O

Just one viewing today, haven't seen this film for a long time.
The Others (2001)
I haven't seen this in a while and I didn't remember much of it, but it's brilliant. And nowhere near as scary as I recall. But then I was 8! :) Nicole Kidman is absolutely brilliant, as is the story, the rest of the cast and the scenery. It's a beautiful film to watch.

I can certainly see how it influenced The Woman In Black

2 new first time viewings today.
The Hunger Games (2012)
What I was able to concentrate on (due to loud dickeads I had to throw thing at), I liked. But for me, it a slow start, a very good middle and an OK ending. The cast was fantastic though, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Stanley Tucci, Lenny Kravitz, Wes Bentley (from American Beauty), Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Isabelle Fuhrman (from Orphan) etc.

JodieBoner's rating:

Jennifer's Body (2009)
I was expecting something completely different. I was expecting more horror, less gore, worse acting and definitely something completely unfunny for which I would sympathise Amanda Seyfried... but I like it!
I even liked Megan Fox!
