Man I loved the first Independence Day. It was fun, funny, and the action was great. When I heard they were making this I was really excited. I wanted to see how they would continue the story. I was a bit disappointed with Will Smith not returning though. I find it awesome that the original director and writer return for this. This might be the dumbest movie I have ever seen. It's an insult to your intelligence even if you have an IQ at room temperature. We had twenty years to prepare and came up with this crap, we deserve to die.

Obviously, I wasn’t expecting much from this movie but since I have seen most of the movies directed by Roland Emmerich, I was still eager to check it out.
