Stupidity can be the most creative thing.Why so low rating?
I've never like Adam Sandler before, I'm not the fan of comedy genre,I'm not the fan of 80s video games, but I think this film was made creatively , funny and entertaining, there's a few "boring" moment but overall I was really enjoyed,surprisingly, the dialog /screenplay is so hilarious.

Initial Thought: I love video games. I have ever since I was kid. Obviously I started playing Nintendo games which have quite a few represented besides the typical arcade games. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this flick but since it was available on HBO, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, as usual with Adam Sandler, it turned out to be pretty lame, I'm afraid. Mustanaamio7's Movie Diary 2019 (251 movies items)"8.7. 2019 "Pixels" is just like every other movie about space aliens invading the Earth, except this time the invaders are disguised as classical video game characters. Everything about the movie is so calculated and generic that you forget it almost instantly after "Game Over" text appears on the screen. Some of those older video games mentioned in the film are still quite enjoayble so just play them and forget this nonsense."
