Independence Day: Resurgence update feed
"When: July 3rd First-Time Viewing: Yes. How: In theaters. What'd I Think?: More serious, pretty entertaining, somewhat flawed sequel. My Rating: 7/10 Other Notes: NA."
"Filled with plot holes, and lacking in character pathos, this film makes up for it by having entertaining moments, and being well shot. 5.8/10"
"Watched 07/03/2016 Rating 6.0/10 Independence Day: Resurgence is a pure blockbuster spectacle and while its story is a bit muddled and its overstuffed with characters i still enjoyed the movie. "

" First Viewing Viewing Date: July 1st Via: Cinema Plot: Two decades after the first Independence Day invasion, Earth is faced with a new extra-Solar threat. But will mankind's new space defenses be enough?"
"Predictable, but entertaining. Worth a watch. It is-what it is. Just as the first one, it is a bit cheesy, however it is just what i expected: sci-fi action, space ships and aliens. Starts out a bit slow but the story and action picks up quickly. They brought back quite a few original actors from the first one and added some new big names also. The storyline has a lot of the ingredients for a much more interesting movie but doesn't seem to know it - the way that alien technology has impacted hum"
" 6.23 The aliens are back and earth is ready for them, and so we thought. ID: Resurgence is bigger, wilder and really, the CG's destructive powers left no landmark safe. They even brought back the old cast. Jeff Goldblum, in such situations, is as always, golden. Bill Pullman and Judd Hirsch make it a class reunion. And yet, it is not better than the first one. "
"I really enjoy Independence Day, the original from 1996, its a VHS tape that saw a lot of play as a kid and I still watch it fondly occasionally even now. Hearing about a sequel I felt nothing though, its been 20 years and sequels always have a poor record, especially when so much time passes since the parent films release. I'm glad I kept my expectations rather low because Resurgence would have really depressed me if I had let nostalgia lead me to hope for something to equal what i got before. "
