"What?!" That was the first thought I had when the end credits started rolling for Ender's Game. This is partly due to the fact that the story is incomplete, and the film ends, essentially, with a cliffhanger. Some might say it's less a cliffhanger then a hook for a potential sequel, but the story is not wrapped up, so in my eyes, the film ends with a cliffhanger. My expectations were average but I enjoyed 'Ender's Game', there was a good cast (Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin) that gave some very good acting, it contained solid thrills and some amazing effects

" This was neat. I kind of wanted more from the characters, though. I don't think they were fleshed out enough for me. I felt like I was missing part of the story and I don't know if that's because it's based on a book, or if I just saw what was coming. I had a friend say she thought it would have been better if it was made back in the 80s. I think I agree."

"2014/03/28 First viewing @home on DVD with Kendra Did a very good job of sticking to the book, much more than I expected it to. Some elements of the book were, necessarily, absent and others added. Enjoyable and a good story. Kendra enjoyed as well, so maybe she only thinks she doesn't like science fiction because she hasn't read / seen any that is really good."
