" This was neat. I kind of wanted more from the characters, though. I don't think they were fleshed out enough for me. I felt like I was missing part of the story and I don't know if that's because it's based on a book, or if I just saw what was coming. I had a friend say she thought it would have been better if it was made back in the 80s. I think I agree."

"2014/03/28 First viewing @home on DVD with Kendra Did a very good job of sticking to the book, much more than I expected it to. Some elements of the book were, necessarily, absent and others added. Enjoyable and a good story. Kendra enjoyed as well, so maybe she only thinks she doesn't like science fiction because she hasn't read / seen any that is really good."
