" Date: 3/12/2021 Viewed: 4K UHD (Amazon Prime Rental) Re-Watch Note: It's been over a decade since I last saw this movie. I notice you can rent or buy the movie in 4K UHD on Amazon Prime, and I was curious to see what the movie looks like in 4K UHD. I still remember being a kid back in 1998 and being confused on why we have two asteroid movies coming out that are very similar to each other (I saw Armageddon first BTW). I personally prefer Armageddon, but I do think Deep Impact is a better mo"

"21.9. 2020 A giant meteor is going to collide with Earth and people can do nothing but hope for the best and prepare for the worst. The director Mimi Leder made a surprisingly good film about a difficult subject. "Deep Impact" avoids the most distracting cliches: it is a touching film but not too preachy nor sentimental. It also has a good balance between human relationships and nightmarish catastrophy sequences."

"This was wrong decision to watch after staying awake about 40 hours. I watched the first 30 minutes but the movie was just so boring so I dozed off and woke up about 15 times while the film played in the background so I have to try to watch this again some day. Finished this few days later. The first hour was boring as hell, but it did pick up towards the end that was your typical disaster movie stuff."
