" First Viewing Viewing Date: August 30th Via: Tubi Plot: One morning, a young man wakes to find that a small, disgusting creature has attached itself to the base of his brain stem. The creature gives him a euphoric state of happiness but demands human victims in return. Rating: 6.6/10 Why Did I Watch It? I found it on Tubi and it looked like exactly the type of campy '80s horror I enjoy."

" The message: Drugs are bad. At first you feel a euphoric high, a warm sensational feeling, that’s all consuming. Waiting for the next fix. Until, you find yourself, not being able to live without it. Until it’s too late. Just like Brian, and the parasite feeds on him, Alymer. He also looks like a phallic creature. Make of that what you will."

"Rated: R Why it’s rated: Adult Language, Adult Situations, Gore, Nudity, Profanity, and Strong Sexual Content."
“A farce bis quite hairy but not imperishable. The least barge film of Henenlotter. Although the blowj.. scene...” read more

" Date: 10/11/2021 Viewed: Blu-ray Re-watch Note: I hadn't seen Brain Damage in a while, so I decided to watch it for my 31 Days of Horror. Brain Damage is a terrific film, and it is the best movie by Frank Henenlotter in my opinion. Most people consider Brain Damage to be just another "So Bad, It's Good" film because of its ridiculous premise, but I disagree. It's so good, it's absolutely brilliant, in my opinion. Brain Damage isn't just another B movie because it has more to offer than a ridi"

"Addictions Kick them. Before you they kick you. Drugs are bad. Ok?"

"Throughout Brain Damage, Frank Henenlotter’s images have a compact and gnarly vitality. He frequently cordons people off by themselves in individual frames, serving the low budget with pared-down shot selections while intensifying the lonely resonance of a man set adrift with his cravings. Bria’sn (Rick Herbst) degradation suggests the crack epidemic of the 1980s, and the threat and alienation of AIDS lingers over the outré, sexualized set pieces, especially when Brian cruises a night club "
