" In Tromaville, Melvin works in a health club with his bucket and mop as a janitor. The sadistic and bullies Bozo and Slug and their girlfriends Julie and Wanda, who love to hit-and-run people in empty streets, play a cruel prank in Melvin and he falls off the window in a barrel of toxic wastes in a truck parked in front of the health club. He turns into the strong monster Toxic Avenger and protects the town from criminals. He saves the blind Sara from a rape and soon they become sweetheart"

"Tromaville, New Jersey It’s a town, only located in the Tromaverse within it’s film. Why you wouldn’t want: An overall toxic, run down, ugly place with crime and putridness being everywhere. Hopefully, Toxie can save the day."

" Date: 12/30/2021 Viewed: Blu-ray Re-Watch Note: I decided to end the night by watching an 80s classic that I hadn't seen in a long time. The Toxic Avenger is still as amazing as I remember it being. The Toxic Avenger, like Robocop, Predator, The Terminator, Jason Voorhees, and other 80s movie pop culture icons, is a staple of the era. I like how the film satirizes and parodies the 1980s zeitgeist. The film mocks both the revenge film genre and American culture in the 1980s. The film does a g"

" First Viewing Viewing Date: October 16th Via: iTunes Store Plot: When a meek mop boy named Melvin falls into a vat of toxic waste while being viciously bullied, he transforms into the strong, muscular Toxic Avenger. He hits the streets of New Jersey seeking to protect the innocent and punish criminals. Rating: 6.2/10"

" Directed by: Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman Produced by: Michael Herz, Lloyd Kaufman, and Stuart Strutin Written by: Lloyd Kaufman and Joe Ritter Cinematography: Lloyd Kaufman and James London Edited by: Richard W. Haines Distributed by: Troma Entertainment"

"This was the first movie I saw unedited and beyond a PG rating. It was also the first movie I saw on VHS. There is NOTHING like a Troma movie and this is the one that made them a big name in the indie scene and with good reason. This was punk rock in film form, this was irreverent yet hilarious, and it was everything a young kid shouldn't of been watching. So bad it's good and still as crazy as it ever was. "

"12.2 (uusintakatselu) Vihdoin ja viimein sain käsiini harvinaisen Night Vision -julkaisun, jossa kaikki Toxiet remasteroituina, eli maratoonia kehiin. Pitihän se totta kai vanhasta kunnon ykkösestä alottaa, vaikka olenkin tämän jo kahdesti nähnyt. Esikoisen lyhyys helpotti kolmatta kierrosta, vaikka leffaharrastus onkin taas vaihteeksi ollut tauolla. NV-julkaisun kuvanlaadusta sai sentään jotain selvääkin, vaikka huomasin surukseni, että joitain yksittäisiä throwaway-kohtauksia ol"

"8.9. Union (35 mm) Toxic Avenger ja Troma-filmit on likasaavi, johon en ole tainnut aikaisemmin sukeltaa. Ensimmäinen osa soljui eteenpäin mukavasti kasarijuuston ja slapstickin voimin välttäen pahemman tyhjäkäynnin. Kömpelö, mutta sympaattinen tuotos, jollaisia pitäisi ehdottomasti katsoa useammin."

"I've been meaning to watch this for years and finally just came across it on Youtube. This was entertaining and funny. Tried to watch the second one right after this but that was just so different and unfunny that I decided to stop."
