"This film premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival but its planned early 2008 wide theatrical release was cancelled. This was likely due either to MGM's financial struggles or possible reservations about its very grim and disturbing subject matter. It remained a "lost film" for several years until a very brief 2014 DirecTV video-on-demand release and a 2017 retail DVD and Blu-Ray release distributed by Orion Pictures (who MGM has since passed the distribution rights to). "
