Even more disturbing than the violence and heartlessness of Henry is the increasing desensitization to killing that Otis transitions through. I've had nightmares about that and this film. Absolute masterpiece.

" Based on the true life serial killer, Henry Lee Lucas, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, is a brutal, devastatingly horrifying tale of Henry Lee Lucas, and Otis Toole, who go on on a random killing streak sparing absolutely no one. The people they kill are strangers and in one particularly gruesome attack, kill all three members of a family during a home invasion. Henry lacks compassion in everything he does and isn't the kind to leave behind witnesses. Of any kind. Not even, poor Becky"

"Pros: Michael Rooker and Tom Towles Itâs a decidedly very terrifying film Con: Itâs not called Portrait of a Serial Killer foe nothing."

"Henry likes to kill people, in different ways each time. Henry shares an apartment with Otis. When Otisâ sister comes to stay, we see both sides of Henry: âthe guy next doorâ and the serial killer. I usually require, for me to really love a film, for there to be a lot of care put into the visual aspect. This movie is ugly. It feels like they just pointed the camera at the subjects haphazardly. It totally works. Henry works based on the character itself, and of course Michael Rooker'"

"Initially it was rated X, but later the film was rated R. Why itâs rated: Adult Situations, Graphic Violence, Rape & Sexual Abuse, and Strong Sexual Content. Itâs called Portrait of a Serial Killer. "

"Brutally stone-cold depiction of a mad man, made all the more unnerving by its cinematic aptitude. "

"1.11. ElokuvavÀkivallan pitÀÀ vÀlillÀ kouraista vatsanpohjasta ilman ÀlytöntÀ mÀssÀilyÀkin. Halloweenviikon jÀlkeen asiat oli hyvÀ laittaa taas perspektiiviin. Tyly, mutta tarpeellinen."

"3.10. Blu-ray Uusintakatselu.

"Before the it became the caricature that audiences were assimilated to with the advent of slasher pics, the idea of the serial killer was usually enough to carry the horror of any scare flick based on the premise.Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer reintroduced this bare bones approach to this type of multi-murdering movie mayhem.Portraying the killer as the type of person that you could easily run into the local corner pub or in the next pump at the gas station, this is a film that reminds us th"

"Trust no one. The person who you think is a monster, likely is a monster "

" Notes: To be honest, it has been ages since I have seen this movie and maybe I should re-watch it at some point. In fact, I still remember very well the first time I saw the damned thing. In fact, at the time, I had never heard of this flick before and it is my brother-in-law who brought it to our attention saying that it had a very notorious reputation, that it was one of the scariest movies ever made. So, we sat there with the 3 of us (my sister, her boyfriend and myself), expecting somethin"
