"La única parte interesante de la película es la de los niños siendo reclutados como militares. La parte de la película que tiene a Chloë Grace Moretz como protagonista es aburrida a más no poder además de no tener mucho sentido. "

"It's quite a coincidence that both the top two movies on this list are based on books. :) In this case, the source material is Rick Yancey's novel about four waves of increasingly devastating alien attacks that have left most of the Earth decimated, and Chloë Grace Moretz stars as a girl on the run, desperately trying to help her younger brother. The term "young adult" has now become a dreaded two words in fiction, especially film adaptations (despite the fact that Harry Potter also falls under"

" DVD- 1hr. 52min. First Viewing There are two movies in The 5th Wave; one that's a bland love story between an unlikely pair, the other a somewhat interesting sci-fi/action flick. The bland side, unfortunately, ends up outweighing the other side. Moretz's romance is pretty much everything we've come to expect from a YA novel adaptation, minus the interest; even the people behind the scenes can't muster any interest in this story. The other, lead by Nick Robinson's character, isn't great, but it "

"Reason for the future sucking: Aliens, attack Earth yet again! Year it takes place: Near futurish."

"When: January 2nd First-Time Viewing: Yes. How: DVD from Netflix. What'd I Think?: Intriguing plot, but a poorly paced and predictable wannabe "Hunger Games." My Rating: 4/10 Other Notes: NA."

"As bad as this film was, yes the story was idiotic, yes the characters were 1D airbrushed models with no personality and yes it may just be the poorest YA garbage film made yet but none of this is the biggest sin that The 5th Wave commits for me. Worst of all is that it is just do dull. The first 15 minutes or so was alright as the opening "waves" struck in a disaster porn kind of way but then it became a grinding chore as the "plot" really began. Incredibly lazy, I really hope the source mat"

"Premise of the movie was interesting and partly well done, but the PG-13 rating, that familiar teen love triangle and reminder of just another Hunger Games (which i like very much), Maze Runner or Divergent-like young adult movies almost maked me not liking this, but it managed there like the others. Action sequences were executed well, which were one of, if not only good thing in this movie. "

"Yet another dystopian YA adaptation, this one feels so generic that it will not stand out, and the poor pacing makes it feel like lots of things were either cut out, or rewritten around very poorly. 4.3/10"

"Notes: Following the footsteps of Kristen Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence and Shailene Woodley, Chloë Grace Moretz decided she should also have her own franchise based on a Young Adult novel, which wasn't really a bad decision career-wise. The only point was that the whole thing turned out to be pretty weak, I'm afraid. However, I don't thing that Moretz should be really blamed though. I mean, she was really charismatic and she did what she could with this material but there was not much that could "
