Doctor Strange (2016)
Incredible visual effects, a nicely paced plot, and some mixing up of the Marvel formula go a long way in making this a fun and immersive experience, even if the film slightly suffers (again) from a poor one dimensional (to excuse the pun) villain, and some shaky unclear universe rules.

Filled with a good creepy atmosphere, excellent acting, even from the children, and a constant sense of dread, this is a vast, vast, vast improvement over the predecessor, even if the film's very poor CGI doesn't make this film as scary as it could've been.
