I know I am in the minority on this one but I didn't really enjoy this film. I thought it was decent, it made me laugh a few times, but overall I was a little disappointed. Could be my sense of humor doesn't match up, could be I went in with my expectations too high, just didn't do it for me.

If there was a word to describe the theatre of the absurd as a film genre, then O Brother, Where Art Thou? is a film that wears that genre with confidence. The film is peculiar and unique; but at the same time a film that I enjoyed to a great degree.

I love this film. I think I'd love it even if I wasn't already a fan of roots music, but the soundtrack certainly doesn't hurt.
